Day 1B is officially in the books, and 45 players will be added to the qualifiers’ list. 6 of them managed to bag over 200K, but only 1 – Tam Ho – finished in the 300s. Pierre Lauzé missed that mark by a hair, having jumped into the leading pack after winning a lot of chips in the very last hand of the night.

Dominic Boucher, who did well all night and suffered no major setback, placed 3rd. The flight did not produce as many big stacks as Day 1A, but a higher percentage of players survived, and the top crew is much more narrowed.

The table below lists all players above the 200K mark. The last starting flight, Day 1C, takes place at 11:00AM tomorrow. After that, qualifiers from all flights will merge at noon on Sunday for Day 2 of the Playground 200, the staple of Playground Power Weekends. Get your seat!

When Jean-Marie Copeau limped in from an early position, Mélanie Gervais made it 7K to go with about 30K to her name before the hand, which was quite short, but on a slow uptrend since she was left with just 10K earlier tonight.

When Akram Saba committed his stack, Tam Ho raised some more to isolate him. Veasna Nun, however, in the big blind, took a long time to make up his mind. He finally decided to fold, possibly due to Tam’s large stack. The cards were opened, and Tam happily realized that he was way ahead.

The turn fell heavy, and Tam was drawing to a jack for a split.

Players just took their last break of the evening, and are now undertaking the final lap. 68 of them are still standing, some on one leg, some driving a tank. We found 5 stacks showing more than twice the average. Kristopher Chaykowski and Dominic Boucher are up top, with over 200K.

First, Richard Sysko arrived at table 65 and won a 100K pot with aces against Jean-Philippe Binet‘s kings, taking him out in the process. Shortly after, Philippe Anglade opened a pot to 3K and was called twice before Yannick Labattaglia made it 18K to go.
