After 8 levels of play, 4 players have managed to earn a 6-figure stack. In the lead is Nicolas Duteau with 142,500 chips. In second place, sitting on Duteau’s immediate right, Dominic Boucher. Jean-François Raymond and Stuart Taylor follow, and we also added everyone over 90K to the leaderboard.

From 197 entries, 113 players remain in Day 1B of the Playground 200. We are currently halfway through the flight, and for some of these players, this is their last chance at a Day 2 seat. Others will have no problem trying again tomorrow on the afternoon flight, the last Day 1 of the event. In any case, with a field this big, the appeal of the bloated prizes is strong.

We came across a pre-flop showdown that had Jonathan Dsouza at a serious disadvantage against Dominic Proulx. Proulx had committed his remaining 20K or so, and Dsouza was in for about half his stack, having lost a few feathers since last break.

Dsouza’s kicker paired up, rendering Proulx’s king ineffective. Unfortunately for Proulx, the registration period ended a few minutes ago, with a total of 197 entries. Well, there’s always Day 1C!

Day 1B in the Playground 200 is well underway. 5 of the 14 levels on schedule today have been played and some players are already pushing 100K. They will battle it out until 2:45AM, at which point the survivors will add their name to the qualifiers’ list.

After 4 levels of play, Cristian Radita managed to transform 25K into 93K! He is ahead of the 178-entry field. A few other players did very well, and are listed below in our current top 5.

Two more levels will be played before the end of the registration period, which is at 10:15PM. More than enough time for anyone to make their way to Playground Poker Club and join this huge field. Our current Day 2 chip leader joined Day 1A during level 6 last night!

The Friday night flight of the Playground 200, Day 1B, has already grown to a huge crowd. Half of the registration period is still ahead of us, and 161 entries have been accounted for. Players have until 10:15PM to jump in or to place a single re-entry.
