The remaining 5 players have made a deal. They are withholding $223 for first place and the rest of the prize pool was distributed according to chip counts at the time. The deal was reached quickly and without any argument. In addition, each player will now keep their own bounty chip.
As soon as the deal was agreed to, Philippe Belley let it be known that due to an emergency, he had to leave immediately. In this case, because the deal was made for almost all of the prize pool equity, his stack was simply removed from play rather than being blinded off or anything of that nature.
The second hand of play after the deal was done and play resumed saw Samuel Brouillard eliminated as he open shoved utg into Steve Daunais’ holding just – the community cards changed nothing and there are just three players left.
