With only 14,000 chips left and on the button Martin Vadeboncoeur went all-in. Martin was trying to get as much value as possible from the ante, both blinds and a flat call Martin Demondehare.

Small blind completed and big blind checked, creating an automatic side pot since the blinds were higher than Vadeboncoeur’s all-in.

On the flop George Kazarian (small blind) checked, so did Marcello Iacovella (big blind) as well as Martin Demondehare.

George checked the on the turn, but Marcello bet a small 25K which Martin Demondehare called and George folded.

Everyone checked the on the river and players tabled their hands.

Shawn Olivieri and Olivier Nittolo have come to the end of their road in the Tag Team event.

Shawn was sitting down and tried to make a grab for the pot by going all in on the flop.

The remainder of the board did not help Shawn and team Masciotra Iacovella took down the huge pot.

The teams have settled into the final table; and the heat is on.  There has been a complete redraw for seats.  There is a total of 3,8 million chips in play, and each team member is tying hard to improve their teams position.

One of the fun elements in the Tag Team event is the ability to consult with your partner during a hand. Whether it’s to confirm a call, get instructions about the line to take in a hand, or to ask for advice on how to extract value in a particular spot, consultations really add to the team aspect of the event.

A typical example of team consultations just occurred on table 27. There was an under the gun raise to 5.5K followed by a 3b from utg+1 to 12.5K. Two seats over, Patrice Ravary threw in a consultation chip and his partner was called.

When the consultation was over, Patrice returned to the table and chose to 4b-shove his covering stack. The blinds both got out of the hand, as did Shawn, the initial raiser – and then action was back on Team Chartier – and it was time for another consultation. Eventually, they made the call.
