The remaining 11 players have just taken a break and we were able to get full counts for the remaining field while they were away from the tables. Jean-Luc Desormeaux is the small stack, and when one more player is eliminated, the players will all join the final table.

Patrick Longpré – fresh off his 4th place finish in Event #11 last night – has been among the well-stacked players for much of the day, and the rich just got richer as Patrick has removed Nicolas Cimon from the tournament in a pot bloated by and early raise and call.

Action started with a middle position raise to 20K, which was called by Casey Hansen. Action folded around to Patrick in the sb, who decided to raise all-in. Nicolas thought for some time before going all-in under, and both of the initial raisers’ chips went in to the pot.

Patrick: 10 of Spades 10 of Clubs
    Nicolas: King of Spades :Tj

Board: 3 of Spades 6 of Clubs 3 of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs

The board runout had nothing at all for Nicolas, who went out in 16th for $160 – and Patrick’s holdings increased by about 75K.

Since that hand, another 3 players have been eliminated and there are just 12 remaining.

Today’s Bounty tourney keeps on trucking along, and it’s already down to 16 players remaining and passed the bubble without incident or delay.

When the tournament got down to 20 players, the third table was broken to distribute everyone on two even tables, and in the first moments, 3 more players were eliminated and it was down to 17. The original payout structure called for 16 to be paid, so the bubble was upon us…

Except that all of the players, on two tables, and unprompted, came to a lightning fast agreement to take $60 from first place and $20 from 2nd and 3rd place payouts and add a 17th payout of $100! A bubble save – and then they blew right by that and there are now just 16 players seated.

Here is the new payout schedule. Play continues in level 16.

    Rank | RangPrize | Prix
    1st$2,538
    2nd$1,950
    3rd$1,460

The players in today’s Bounty tournament have just returned from a break and play has resumed in level 13. During the pause we surveyed the room for huge stacks and found 2 really big ones on the same table – table 20 – belonging to Steve Daunais and Patrick Longpré – each of them is playing over 220K.

The number of players in the bounty is going down quickly, and if anything is accelerating as players who have allowed themselves to become short-stacked are getting it in and looking for that elusive double- or triple-up.

Or more, in the case of Casey Hansen. He shoved from utg for his last 17,800 and found an “under-shove” from Sasha Kljajic (for 16,400). If you’re counting, that’s two bounties of $25 each in play. Goose S then called as well from the cutoff, as did Hany Fermanian in the bb.

Action wasn’t closed between Goose and Hany, so no cards were exposed, and the flop was dealt: King of Diamonds Jack of Spades 5 of Clubs. Both players checked, as they did following the turn 8 of Hearts and the river 3 of Hearts. Showdown.

All of the other Jacks appeared: Goose had Queen of Clubs Jack of Clubs, Hany had Jack of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds, and Sasha had the Jack of Hearts – but none of that mattered, because Casey showed down Ace of Spades Ace of Hearts and scooped the whole pot, along with a bounty chip as well to sweeten the deal.

Here are a few more photos of the players in the bounty tourney today. The field has been dropping relatively quickly – it’s already down to 49 players out of the 128 that entered.
