Registration has just closed for Day 1C, the last Day 1 of Event #2 Playground 200.

After all was said and done 226 entries were logged for this flight, including 49 re-entries. This brings the total number of entries for all Day 1 flights combined to 487.

We went around the tables and got a few pictures of the players in action here in the Tournament Hall.

After 4 levels of action in Day 1C of the PG 200, the players took a break and we hit the floor. We were in search of players who have managed to bring their chips above 60K. Sure enough we found a few.

Marcello Iacovella has wiggled his way up the leader board with a decent stack of 94,300 chips. Both he and 2nd chip leader James Brown, have amassed three times the average, no mean feat.

Things are moving along in Day 1C of the PG 200

    2018/10/05 - 20:39 by Playground Poker

Entries are still coming in and we now have 175 entries, including 20 re-entries. The remaining 151 players seem to be a bit more cautious today, the eliminations are few and far apart, for now.

The players will take a short break at the end of this levelm so we will take the opportunity to get some chip counts as well as a leader board.

Players can register until the beginning of level 7, and that will be just around 10:15, so there is still plenty of time to get down to the Tournament Hall and get in on the action.

    2018/10/05 - 19:37 by Playground Poker

October Power Weekend Playground 200 $200 + $20 Day 1C has just started. Players are in their seats, chips are being shuffled and dealers have cards in the air.

This is the last Day 1 and we expect a large turnout this evening. With 262 combined entries in the first two Day 1’s, and a $100,000 prize pool guarantee, there is some great value to be had, and the players know it. This is the last opportunity for anyone to get in the action. We already have 56 players qualified for Day 2 which is set to start tomorrow at noon.

Players who already have a seat for Day 2, can opt to play tonight as well, and try to bag more chips. Players are permitted to enter or re-enter tonight until the start of level 7. That should be around 10:15PM.

Tonight! Day 1C in the Playground 200

    2018/10/05 - 12:52 by

Tonight’s big event in the October Power Weekend is Day 1C of the Playground 200. This will be players’ final chance to take a shot at qualifying for Saturday’s Day 2 in the event, joining the 56 players that have already sealed their Day 1 chips in a bag to open for the restart.

As usual, the Playground 200 has $100,000 prize pool guarantee, and so far there have been a total of 261 entries – there’s some potential for some extra value for players this time around! The final Day 1 in a multi-starting-flight event is always the largest – and usually by a wide margin – but even so, the numbers speak for themselves!

Players are permitted to enter or re-enter any time until the beginning of level 7, and even a player who has already bagged chips in a previous Day 1 starting flight may take a shot in Day 1C and try and build up a better stack to take to Day 2.

Everything gets going tonight at 7:00pm in the Tournament Hall. Late registration (and the re-entry period) is open until 10:15pm, and players who qualify for Day 2 will return for the restart at 12:00pm on Saturday.

    Good luck!
