While the Playground 200 plays down towards the bubble on one side of the Tournament Hall, another event is just getting underway – Event #7, a $70 + $10 NL Hold’em Freeze. With its $7,000 guarantee, this tournament should also find a wide audience, and the classic freezeout format – no re-entries, no rebuys – is also likely to be popular.

This is a one-day tournament with 20 minute blind levels and a 20,000 chip starting stack. Players have until the beginning of level 7 to join the tournament – which is to say that players may jump in at any time until 3:15pm.
