Sandrel Dugue wins the 50/50 Bounty tournament

    2018/10/07 - 5:25 by Playground Poker

After a short heads up phase where both players took out all the stops in order to win, Sandrel Dugue got the last word.

Sandrel went all-in pre-flop and Alexandre immediately called.

Sandrel Dugue: Ace of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds

Alexandre Cousineau: 10 of Spades 10 of Diamonds

The dealer wasted no time in running out all five community cards, but the flop was enough for Sandrel.

Board: 3 of Diamonds Ace of Clubs 8 of Clubs Jack of Clubs 2 of Diamonds

So Alexandre Cousineau is out in 2nd position, and Sandrel Dugue is crowned the winner of Event #9 50/50 Bounty. Sandrel also managed to pick-up 10 bounties, this will add a hefty $1,000 to his winnings.

    Congratulations to all the winners.

    Event #9 Champion: Sandrel Dugue, $2,955 + $1,000

    2nd place: Alexandre Cousineau, $2,230

Thomas Manuge out in 3rd place – Heads up!

    2018/10/07 - 5:10 by Playground Poker

Thomas Manuge managed to avoid getting into trouble for a few hands. He decided to go all-in with Alexandre Cousineau.

Thomas: 10 of Clubs King of Spades

Alexandre: 9 of Clubs 7 of Spades

The board seemed promising on the flop for Thomas who basically just had to avoid nines and sevens: Queen of Hearts Queen of Clubs 6 of Diamonds.

But the turn brought with it a 7 of Hearts which turned the tide for Alexandre. The 8 of Hearts on the river did not save Thomas and he was at the end of his run.

So now we are ready for heads up action between Alexandre Cousineau and Sandrel Dugue. The chips are pretty evenly stacked, so it’s anybody’s game.

    Thomas Manuge – 3rd position, $2,135

Heldar Junior out in 4th position

    2018/10/07 - 5:02 by Playground Poker

Heldar Junior has been sent to the rail in 4th position in the 50/50 Bounty tournament.

When the 4 last players discussed the ICM deal Heldar was second in chips, but an unlucky break reduced his stack to 1 big blind and he was eliminated in the very next hand.

Still a very nice run for Heldar who pockets a tidy $2,245 for his efforts.

50/50 Bounty: a deal is made!

    2018/10/07 - 4:55 by Playground Poker

After the elimination of Paul Mohorea, the remaining 4 players stopped the clock to discuss a possible deal.

The Tournament Director counted up all the stacks and proceeded to calculate a possible ICM chop.

The players immediately agreed to the ICM payout.  As usual in events a small portion needs to be set aside for the 1st place winner.  The players decided that an additional $320 would go to the crowned winner.
