Participation in Event 4 has grown considerably since the beginning of the night and with a few minutes left to late register there are already 156 players who have joined the tournament.
Tournament staff have made their opening announcements and with that, the cards have started to fly in Event 4, the $300 + $30 Freeze that is beginning tonight. Play tonight starts with 20K stacks, the blinds at 25/50 and 20 minute levels.
There are currently 83 players seated in the tournament but with late registration open until 9pm, that number is sure to climb.
Tonight at 7:30, Event 4 in the Montréal Poker Expo will begin. This event is a $300 + $30 Freeze – meaning no re-entry is permitted – which will play out over two days. This tournament is one of two multi-day, higher buy-in tournaments in the Expo, and is sure to attract many skilled players to try for a share of the prize pool.
Play today will feature 20-minute blinds and will continue for 16 levels, at which time the remaining players will bag up their chips to return for Day 2, tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 7pm.
The tournament gets underway at 7:30pm and late registration is available during the first 4 levels of play – in other words, players have until about 9pm to jump in the action!
