Tournament: Event 1 - $135 + $15 No Limit Hold'em Re-entry
The fourth and final flight of Event 1 in the Playground Poker Montreal Festival has now begun! With 1,029 entries already accounted for, every player buying in tonight is adding to what should be a pretty impressive overall prize pool.
To start tonight’s Day 1d there are already 279 players seated with another 2 hours remaining for late registration. There’s a decent chance that this final flight will be a sell-out – though we’ll certainly do everything we can to seat any alternate that wishes to play.
Good luck to everyone at the tables tonight!

Tournament: Event 1 - $135 + $15 No Limit Hold'em Re-entry
The Tournament Director just announced over the PA that there were 5 more hands to be dealt in this third flight of Event 1 in the Playground Poker Montreal Festival. Currently there are 98 players remaining though several more are sure to fall before these last 5 hands finish up.
We’ll post full chip counts and an average for the tournament so far in about an hour.

Tournament: Event 1 - $135 + $15 No Limit Hold'em Re-entry
The players have returned from their second and final break of the day as tournament staff removed the green T25 chips from play. This middle session proved to be extremely fruitful for a few players as they were able to build up the stacks they’ll use to get them to the end of level 13.

Tournament: Event 1 - $135 + $15 No Limit Hold'em Re-entry
Players in Day 1c in Event 1 have just returned from their first break of the day. The end of the break was also the end of late registration in today’s flight and the total number of entries for Day 1c climbed to 374 this afternoon.
This figure means that there have been a total of 1,039 entries so far in Event 1, which surpasses the number of buy-ins required to meet the guarantee – which means that every single player in tonight’s final Day 1d will be adding even more to the prize pool!
In terms of the performance of players in the flight today, no one managed to build a huge 160K stack before the break like yesterday, but there are quite a few large stacks spread around the room. Here are the top 5 so far:

Tournament: Event 1 - $135 + $15 No Limit Hold'em Re-entry
Players are just one level away from their first break of the day – and the end of late registration. The number of entries has jumped to 356 so far, which means that the event has officially passed the number of buy-ins required to meet the $100K guarantee. Every entry from here on out will grow the total prize pool past that number – how high, no one knows.
Here are some photos from the early action this morning.

Tournament: Event 1 - $135 + $15 No Limit Hold'em Re-entry
Play has begun in level 2 of the 13 to be played today, and the number of entries in today’s Day 1c has passed the 300 player mark with still more players joining all the time. Amazingly enough, the flight made it through the first round with no players eliminated – a surprisingly rare occurrence.
You still have about 100 minutes to join in this afternoon!

Cards are in the air for Day 1c of Event 1 in the Playground Poker Montreal Festival. There are 232 players seated as the clock begins its countdown of the 13 levels to be played today, but players will continue to join all the way until the end of late registration (at the end of the break following level 4). Which means that you still have about 2 hours to come and jump in the event.
We’ll see you here at Playground!

Tournament: Event 1 - $135 + $15 No Limit Hold'em Re-entry
In about 20 minutes players will take their seats for Day 1c of Event 1 in the Playground Poker Montreal Festival as today’s schedule is a virtual duplicate of yesterday, with 2 starting days running back to back at 11am (Day 1c) and 7:30pm (Day 1d).
Yesterday’s action in Days 1a and 1b saw a total of 665 players enter the tourney. Saturday afternoon events typically attract the largest number of players all week, so between today and tonight’s flights the event is a lock to sail right past the guaranteed $100,000 prize pool!
While the tournament is on, there are also a ton of cash games in action – yesterday it peaked at 28 full tables at stakes from $1-$2 to $5-$5. There’s something for everyone at Playground Poker Club on days like this (including some PLO, by the way)!
Players who wish to join one or both of today’s starting days should be aware that the published cap on entries is 400 players, so although we’ll seat as many alternates as possible, it would be a great idea to get to Playground on time for their event to make sure they’re able to play.
