With everyone so interested in taking their opponents’ bounty chips, it’s worth remembering that this event has built a huge prize pool, and that tonight’s winner will be taking home more than twenty times their buy-in in addition to any bounty chips they collect along the way.

This event will pay a slightly larger proportion of the field than our standard format so 25 players will cash tonight.

Here is the full list of payouts:

More than half the field has been eliminated from Event #4. The stacks are getting deeper, providing everyone more room to maneuver. Many players have amassed imposing stacks of bounty chips, but with 91 players remaining, there is still a long way to go to.

Here are some photos of some of the larger stacks in the field:

Nearly half of the starting field has been eliminated from the 50/50 Bounty, as the tournament staff colours up the quarters during the second break of the evening.

The bounty chips have been flying since the first level, and some players have already been able to turn a profit thanks to their opponents’ bounty chips even though there is still a long way to go to the finish.

Here are the current chip leaders:

The field is shrinking quickly because the players are putting their bounty chips to good use so far in Event #4.

A hand that just played out shows how quickly the chips are going in the middle. With the blinds at 400/800, Kiril Martinov opened the action from early position to 2,500. Rapheal Ohayon, immediately to his left, made the call before the action was folded to James Reinhart who moved all-in for 13,725. This type of move would take down the pot in a normal tournament, but with a $100.00 bounty chip in play the all-in only served as enticement for Reinhart’s opponents, who each covered Reinhart and moved all-in.

The three-way all-in revealed strong hole cards for all involved; 10 of Hearts 10 of Clubs for Martinov, Jack of Spades Jack of Diamonds for Ohayon and King of Clubs King of Diamonds for Reinhart. In the end, everyone made a full house thanks to the runout of 4 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs 2 of Diamonds 2 of Clubs 2 of Spades, but the best hand stood and Reinhart tripled up his stack. Ohayon took down the side pot and scooped Martinov’s bounty in the process.

The 50/50 Bounty has drawn a large and diverse crowd and there are still 147players left in the running. The huge starting field-195 players-will make for a long grind to the prizes, but there is lots of value to be found along the way with all those bounty chips in play.

Here are some more photos from the early levels:

The players have returned from their first break of the evening, and even though we’ve already lost 33 runners, 162 players remain in the field. The huge turnout has built a massive prize pool that will nearly double the $20,000.00 guarantee.

There is still a long way to go in tonight’s event so there’s still time for everything to change, but here are the chip leaders after the first break:
