At level 13, the tournament was put on hold to allow for hand per hand play until the bubble hit.
Denyse “Omaha Queen” Mingault took care of business rather quickly. After only 3 short hands in halted play, Denyse called a 53,000 preflop all-in from Marc-Antoine Lévesque.
Once the other tables had finished their hands, the dealer instructed the players to open their hands.
Denyse was faster and tabled her promptly. Marc-Antoine leaned back with a sigh and opened , knowing full well that he was in trouble.
The flop came out and aside from giving each player a backdoor flush draw, nothing much changed, if not that Marc-Antoine was starting to fidget uneasily in his seat.
The on the turn made everyone exclaim in awe: exactly what Marc-Antoine needed. He was clearly ready to win this hand with his pair of fours. That’s when a came out on the river to a collective sigh of relief from all the other players who had pooled around table #60 to witness the action. A pair of tens was enough for the lovely lady.
So Marc-Antoine busted in 22nd position (bubble) and Denyse Mignault added 53,000 chips to her already sizeable stack. Now play resumes until the end. A full redraw will be made when the number of players reaches 10, for the final table.
