His opponent, Diego Aguilar was holding and had caught but the window on that flop.

The turn was a brick .

But, unfortunately for Jonathan, one of Diego’s 2 outs showed it’s face on the river , giving him a boat and sending Jonathan to the rail.

The end of level 6 is approaching and the players will go on a short break. We will find out where the chips lay in order to bring you the first leaderboard of the tournament.

The players in the Short Deck tournament seem to be enjoying themselves and there is somewhat of a cheerful ambiance among the 26 players.

The next event in the February Power Weekend is about to begin! Tonight the stage is set for Event #6 the $100 + $10 NL Short Deck Re-entry tournament.

Players will start with 20,000 chips and 20-minute levels. This tournament guarantees a prize pool of at least $5,000. Get ready for a fast and furious start to this event because this event allows for unlimited re-entries until the beginning of the seventh level of play at 10:15pm.

A few notes on the Short Deck format are in order. All the cards between 2 and 6 have been removed in all suits (2,3,4 & 5). The six now being the “smallest” card in the deck allows for to be the smallest possible straight. Also in this format, the FLUSH beats any FULL HOUSE.
