The two smallest stacks to start Day 5 of the partypoker.net WPT Canadian Spring Championship belonged to Dylan Wilkerson and Levi Stevens. Levi had just a few more chips than Dylan, and they also happened to be seated right next to each other (Levi to the left of Dylan).

Dylan open raised preflop to 70K, Levi chose to put maximum pressure on his neighbour and shoved all in. Dylan made the call and the cards were turned over.

Levi: Ace of Spades Jack of Spades
Dylan: 9 of Hearts 9 of Diamonds

The flop was perfect for Levi: 3 of Diamonds Jack of Hearts 3 of Spades, and the 10 of Hearts and King of Spades on the turn and river couldn’t bring Dylan back from behind.

    6th place: Dylan Wilkerson, $47,470.00

The Final table of the partypoker.net WPT Canadian Spring Championship

    Trevor Delaney

Welcome to the conclusion of the partypoker.net WPT Canadian Spring Championship! Six players are back today to battle it out on the felts, but only one will become our WPT Champion, have their name inscribed on the WPT Champion’s Trophy, take home the WPT Canadian Spring Championship Belt, and of course pocket the $237,390 cash prize that comes along with everything. If that wasn’t enough, they will also earn a seat to the WPT World Championship, worth US$15,400!

Trevor Delaney (3,190,000) returns as our Day 5 chipleader, but not far behind are Sheraz NAsir (2,685,000) and Lu Zhang (2,500,000). On the shorter end of the leaderboard are Gary Lucci (1,205,000), Levi Stevens (765,000) and Dylan Wilkerson (740,000). Lefrancois just shy of the official final table

Pascal Lefrancois just made a great call, but with an unfortunate result.

It all started with an opened from Lu Zhang to 75,000 from middle position. Pascal Lefrancois defended his big blind, and they went heads-up to the flop. With 5 of Diamonds 9 of Clubs 3 of Clubs showing, Pascal check called a bet of 125,000. On the 7 of Hearts turn, Pascal once again checked, and was faced with an all-in from Lu, who had him covered. Pascal cut his chip out, and after a little moment in the tank, made the call with his 510,000 stack.

Pascal tabled King of Spades 9 of Diamonds for top pair, and was up against the double-gutter and 1-overcard of Lu, who had Ace of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds. The river Ace of Clubs was one of the cards Lu was looking for, and she eliminated Pascal in that hand to bring us down to our official final table of the WPT Canadian Spring Championship, brought to you by partypoker.net.

    7th place: Pascal Lefrancois – $39,560

Senthuran Vijayaratnam opened from under the gun, then 4bet shoved his ~1,300,000 stack when Trevor Delaney 3bet from middle position. Trevor made the call, and they were flipping for a pot of over 2,600,000!

Senthuran: Ace of Hearts King of Diamonds

Trevor: Jack of Hearts Jack of Clubs

Both players connected on the Queen of Diamonds Jack of Diamonds 8 of Hearts Queen of Spades 10 of Diamonds board, however Trevor’s full house was best, and with that elimination, he took over the chip lead, holding a stack upward of 3,100,000.

    8th place: Senthuran Vijayaratnam – $31,650

    Lucci folds kings

Gary Lucci opened to 85,000 from under the gun, and Trevor Delaney made the call from the hijack position. Levi Stevens 3bet to 225,000, and found a call from both players.

Levi and Gary both checked the 7 of Hearts 3 of Diamonds 2 of Clubs flop, and Trevor quickly moved all-in. Levi folded, showing a little frustration, and Gary asked for a count. The dealer announced Trevor had 1,205,000, and Gary open folded a pocket pair of KK, shocking some players at the table.

    Taylor falls in 9th place

Robert Taylor opened to 60,000 from under the gun, and went heads-up to the flop with Senthuran, who made the call from the big blind. On a flop of 6 of Clubs 6 of Hearts 5 of Diamonds, Senthuran check-called a bet of 76,000. When the turn brought the 5 of Spades, both players checked. On the river King of Spades, Senthuran moved all-in, and found a call from Robert, who had just under 400,000 behind.

Senthuran tabled 4 of Hearts 5 of Hearts for a full house, and Robert tabled his Ace of Clubs King of Diamonds, which was his last hand in the WPT Canadian Spring Championship.

Players went on a short break after the hand, and we are currently updating the chip counts, which will be published momentarily.

Pascal Lefrancois opened from late position to 50,000, and was followed by Trevor Delaney in the hijack position. Sheraz Nasir then 3bet to 102,000 from the cutoff, which both players called.

3-way to the flop, we saw 3 checks on the Queen of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds King of Clubs board. When the turn brought the Queen of Clubs, Pascal and Trevor checked to Sheraz, who fired 102,000. Pascal raised it up to 335,000, forcing Trevor out of the hand, while inducing a call from Sheraz. Both remaining players checked the 5 of Spades river, and Sheraz too the pot with Ace of Hearts Queen of Spades, while Pascal threw away his 8 of Clubs 9 of Clubs.

Senthuran Vijayaratnam moved all-in for 327,000 from the cutoff after action folded around to him, and Trevor Delaney made the call from the small blind. Sheraz Nasir got out of the way, regrettably folding a pocket pair.

Senthuran: Ace of Diamonds King of Diamonds

Trevor: King of Clubs Queen of Diamonds

Community cards: 5 of Clubs 6 of Diamonds 3 of Spades King of Spades 4 of Hearts

Delaney took a bit of a hit with that hand, but still holds over 1,100,000 at the moment.
