Andrew Hinrichsen made a small raise and Logan Dunn called from the cutoff. Guillaume Rivet then 3bet to 24K and Andrew didn’t take long to put in a 4bet shove. Logan got out of the way and after a little time in the tank Guillaume made the call.

Guillaume never took the lead in the race as the community cards ran out and shipped approximately 75% of his stack across the table to Andrew.

There’s some loud but clearly good-natured banter going on between Nicholas Palma and Steven Buckner, and both speak with instantly recognizable New York accents – and if you’ve spent any time with New Yorkers, it’s the kind of thing you’ve heard a hundred times but if not, well, it could seem kind of extreme.

Steven, folding, showing an Ace: “You really like to 3-bet me, don’t you?”

Nicholas: “Yeah, I was talking with my buddy last night and told him I was going to 3-bet every time you raised… But I’ll tell you, you’d better have it if you come after me, cuz, you’d better have it. You should probably have another Ace behind that one if you’re going to come after me!”

Meanwhile play continues as we wait for the next elimination to bring us to the redraw.

The 19 players left in the Second Chance tournament have resumed play on 3 tables. Blinds are now 60 minutes long and play will continue for a minimum of 10 levels today – there’s a chance that if there are players remaining at the end of the 10 levels, they will choose to play it right through to the end. The players will have that option.

There will be a full seating redraw at 18 players remaining (in other words, after 1 more elimination).

This is the official seating chart for Day 2 of the Second Chance tournament, which is Event 13 in the partypoker.net Playground Poker Spring Classic.

There were 85 players in the tournament and play on Day 1 continued through 16 45 minute levels. At the end of the evening, 19 players remained in contention for the $123,675.00 total prize pool. The top 9 players will be paid in the event.

Play resumes at 1pm tomorrow, Tuesday May 5th.

The clock has almost run out here in Day 1 of the Second Chance Event, and our TD has just announced the last 4 hands of the night. Once all tables have completed these final hands, the remaining players will bag and tag their chips onto Day 2, which is scheduled for 1pm tomorrow afternoon.

Shortly after all players have bagged, we will be publishing the full list of player-reported chips counts, as well as the official seating assignments for Day 2.
