The 50/50 Bounty has played through 4 levels and the players are now on break. The tournament has proven to be quite popular tonight, with 229 players starting the event. Of those, 210 remain. We’ll get photos of the field a bit later in the evening.
Event 6: Cards are in the air
Play has now begun in Event 6, the 50/50 Bounty, and there are already 146 players seated in the tournament with just under 90 minutes of late registration available.
Good luck to all of the players!
Tonight! The 50/50 Bounty Event
Bounty tournaments have always been popular at Playground Poker Club, and ever since we first introduced the 50/50 Bounty format it has occupied a regular spot on the weekly calendar. The “big event” version of this tournament is what’s on tap for tonight – Event 6 is a $100 + $20 + $100 NL Hold’em Bounty tournament, meaning that $100 of a player’s buy-in goes to the prize pool, and $100 goes to a bounty chip that will only be accessible to the player who busts them out of the tournament!
Event 6 gets underway at 7:30 tonight and is a one-day event, with 20K in starting chips and 20 minute blind levels. Late registration is available for 4 levels plus the break, meaning that players have until just after 9pm to join the tournament.
Tonight is going to be a busy night here at Playground Poker Club, as three events will all be underway at the same time. In addition to the 50/50 Bounty event, the $550 Freeze, which started this morning, will continue deep into the evening, and The $250 Frenzy will resume for Day 3 and play down to a champion.
