Full speed ahead in Event 4
The players in Event 4 are taking another break as tournament staff removes the blue T500 chips from play. The last session saw the field drop more than half of the players still active at that time, and there are just 25 players remaining including quite a few short stacks.
At the head of the leaderboard is Daniel Gagnon, who at one point was down to as few as 2400 chips (from a 25K starting stack). Daniel has had remarkable success in daily tournaments at Playground Poker Club and is a fixture atop the Tournament Leader Board, a promotion that runs every month for tournament players.
- Daniel Gagnon – 352K
- Erick-Yanick Bergeron – 233K
- Tedde Ballanger – 215K
- David Moron-Gilbert – 210K
- Kerwin Bentley – 191K

- Martin Charbonneau – 152K
- Scott Poirier – 151K
- William Blais – 139K

Leaders at the 2nd break
Players in today’s Deepstack Turbo (Event 4) have taken their second break of the day and as expected, a few of them have managed to build up some pretty huge stacks. No one has broken the 100K mark, but the leaders are right on the edge of this threshold.
- Ryan Wolters – 98K
- Michael Hunter – 96K
- Martin Charbonneau – 93K
- Joey Boczek – 92K

Alternates now being seated!
Event 4 has proved to be very popular as the published capacity for this afternoon’s tournament (100) was reached shortly after the event began. Tournament staff has already opened an additional table so just about everyone is being seated now, and as usual we will do everything we can to accommodate everyone who wishes to play today.
Welcome to Event 4!
Event 4 of the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net has just gotten underway and there are already 96 players in the event with another hour of late registration available. You can register in the event until 1:25pm, so there’s still plenty of time to join the tournament.
This tournament format has been a part of almost every tournament series hosted here at Playground, and has always been extremely popular. Players start with 25K in chips – but blind levels are only 15 minutes long, so play moves briskly from the very beginning. As well, because the levels are so short, if a player calls clock on another player, they have just 30 seconds to act, not the customary 60 seconds.
Good luck to everyone in the event!
Event 3 Day 2 – seating draw (with counts)
This is the official seating chart for Day 2 of The $250 Frenzy, Event 3 in the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net.
The six starting flights in this tournament had a total of 1,076 entries, and of these, 218 entries qualified for Day 2.
Just 1 player qualified twice for Day 2 in this event, Charles-Eric Benoit. The smaller of his qualifying stacks has been removed (5,000 chips), and the removal of this double entry leaves 217 players who will take their seats to start Day 2. Play resumes in level 15 at 7pm on Monday April 27th. When the tournament resumes, play will be 9-handed.
