Here are the final chip counts for Day 1b of The $250 Frenzy, Event 3 of the Playground Poker Spring Classic 2015 presented by partypoker.net.
There were a total of 134 entrants in this starting flight of Event 3. 28 of these players have qualified for Day 2, which will start on Monday, April 27th at 7pm.
Any player may play in one or more additional starting flights. In the event that a player qualifies in two or more Day 1s, only their largest stack will move forward to Day 2. We will provide detailed records of any such activity when the official seating draw for Day 2 is released.
Note that these are unverified player-counted chip counts. All chips have been sealed in bags until they return to play on Day 2.

Leaders at the second break
After 9 levels of play, only one player has entered the 6-digits in chips, as Behram Antia currently holds a stack of 112,000. Interestingly enough, the next two chip leaders are not only seated at the same table, but directly to his left. This makes one super-stacked table, which can definitely lead to some interesting situations! Here are the top stacks at the moment:
- Behram Antia – 112,000
- Alberto Scuderi – 88,000
- Justin Miller – 87,500
- Matthew Bellsmith – 79,500

Not your average hand
We came across an interesting hand just moments ago, one that many players will likely never even encounter once in their lives! We missed the action, but it seems that three players found themselves all-in preflop, all holding relatively deep stacks for this stage of the tournament. When the hands were tabled, it turned out to be a pair of AA vs KK vs QQ. In the end though, it was the pair of KK held by Alberto Scuderi that won the hand, as he turned a set for the triple up.

Level 7
The field is getting progressively smaller here in this second flight of The $250 Frenzy, as only 9 tables remain. There are still 8 more levels of play tonight before the tournament goes on break until Day 2.

134 show up for Day 1B
Late registration is now closed for Day 1B of The $250 Frenzy, and we saw a total of 134 players take their seats tonight. Adding to the 113 players we saw this morning, we are up to a total of 247 entries after 2 flights. There are 4 more flights scheduled after this, and so this number will definitely skyrocket in the next two days.
With a $200,000 guarantee for just $225 + $25, be sure not to miss this great value tournament!
Off to a head-start
We took a walk around the tournament hall while the players were on break to find the biggest stacks, and these are the four players we found who have already managed to breach the 50,000 mark after 4 levels of play:
- Franco Casarcia – 74,000
- Joel Moreau – 58,500
- Frederic Cossette – 56,000
- Dany Clermont – 54,500
A few more early photos
We’re now into level 4 of this second flight to The $250 Frenzy, and a few more players have since joined the tournament and taken their seats.

Level 1 in photo
We are a level and a half into the night, and registration has climbed into the 3 digits! The board currently reads 120 entries, but players are still entering the club and jumping in to the tournament. Registration will remain open until roughly 9:45pm tonight.
