Last level of Day 1A
Play has begun in level 14, the last level that will be played in this starting flight of Event 3, The $250 Frenzy. There are just 30 players remaining in the action out of the 113 who started, and that number is sure to come down even more as players with big stacks put pressure on their table mates to try and build up their “ammunition” for Day 2!
A few minutes after this flight has concluded we’ll post full counts for the remaining players, and then tonight we do it all again for Day 1B!
Leaderboard update into level 9
The players in this first flight of The $250 Frenzy are on their second break of the day and the leaderboard at this time puts 2 players well out front of the pack with a few others following closely behind. All 5 have roughly double the chip average (or more) and 4x the starting stack (or more).

- William Wright – 115K

Event 2 – Results & Payouts
Event 2 of the Playground Poker Spring Classic 2015 sponsored by partypoker.net was a $200 + $20 NL Hold’em Freeze. The tournament was held on April 23, 2015. There were a total of 148 entries in the event, which added up to a prize pool of $28,712.00. This was distributed according to the following table.
Note there was a player deal reached with 6 players remaining. The players chose to reserve $812.00 and the bracelet for the winner of the event, and share the remaining prize pool by giving the two chip leaders at the time $4,000 each, and giving $3,500 to each of the other 4 players. The payout table reflects this player deal.

Early leaders in flight 1a
The players in Event 3 are taking their first break of the day and we have found some early leaders in the field.
- Michel Dubreuil – 81K
- Richard Catellier – 54K
- Jean Laviolette – 51K
- Brian Lopez – 49K
- David Cadoch – 45K
Each of these players currently has over twice the starting stack after just 4 levels of play, so although there’s a long way to go in this flight (they’re playing 14 30-minute levels), these players have established a good base to work from.

Late register until 1:15pm!
If you’re wondering whether to come out for Day 1A of the $250 Frenzy, today’s likely a good day to play as there are not quite 100 players in the field. You have almost an hour left to get to the Club and jump into this starting flight, which will almost certainly be the smallest starting flight of the six.
Welcome to Event 3!
Event 3 in the Playground Poker Spring Classic sponsored by partypoker.net is called The $250 Frenzy, and it gets its name from that fact that there’s so much value in the tournament, players are in a frenzy to qualify for Day 2! This is the most “extreme” tournament we run in the sense that there are SIX Day 1s, and players may qualify for Day 2 by lasting to the end of any one of them!
Day 1s in the event are running today through the weekend, with one flight starting each morning at 11 and another flight every evening at 7:30pm. Players may play in any number of starting flights, whether or not they have qualified for Day 2 already – in the event that a player qualifies through multiple starting flights, only their largest stack will move to Day 2.
That being said, no one should be intimidated by the number of starting days – the last time we held this event, there were only 2 players who qualified more than once – so the playing field is definitely fair for everyone.
Good luck to all of the players in this event!
Event 2 Champion: Christopher B
Heads-up play didn’t last very long in Event 2, as moments after it began both players found themselves in an all-in race. Christopher B finished with the better hand, as his
outflopped the
of V.L. to crown him champion of Event 2. He took home $4,892, as well as a Playground Poker Spring Classic bracelet for his efforts!
Congratulations!
