Bharat Shetty was sitting in the big blind with 680,000 when he was faced with an open to 180,000 from Thierry Blanc in early position. He squeezed him cards and found just what he was looking for, a pair of King of Hearts King of Clubs. He moved all-in, and found a call from Thierry, who tabled Ace of Spades Queen of Clubs.

Thierry found some help on the 9 of Diamonds 9 of Clubs 7 of Clubs Ace of Clubs 7 of Hearts board, spiking an ace on the turn, and scored the elimination as his stack just barely covered that of Bharat.

    15th place: Bharat Shetty – $1,400.00

Moments later, Maxime Theroux pushed all-in from early position for just over 1.1 million, and Alexandre Baron made the quick call from the big blind.

Maxime: 8 of Spades 8 of Hearts

Alexandre: King of Hearts King of Clubs

Board: 2 of Clubs 9 of Diamonds Ace of Diamonds Queen of Clubs 3 of Hearts

    14th place: Maxime Theroux – $1,400.00

    Lapostolle doubles through St-Louis

    Martin Lapostolle

Martin Lapostolle just doubled through David St-Louis to propel him among the leaders with 15 players left.

We arrived at the table on the flop to witness Martin bet 300K on a flop of 9 of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds 6 of Diamonds. David St-Louis made the call and the dealer put out the 4 of Clubs. The turn was met with a check from Martin, and without much hesitation, David waved over his chips and said, “all-in”.

He was met with an instant call and there was no waiting to see what had happened: Martin flipped over the Ace of Diamonds 3 of Diamonds for the flopped nut flush. David had just 10 of Hearts 7 of Hearts for top pair and was soon shipping just over 2M chips across the table to Martin.

Martin is now up to over 4.7M total, and while losing 2M is a big hit, David – who had recently taken over the chip lead – is one of the few with enough chips to take the blow and stay in contention. He’s still playing over 2M.

Two eliminations occurred in almost the same time.

On table 40, Alexandre Blanc moved in from late position in an attempt to steal the blinds, and found a call from Kevin Daily on the button. Alexandre turned over King of Spades 9 of Diamonds, and fell second best to the Ace of Hearts Jack of Hearts of Kevin on a Queen of Hearts 5 of Clubs Queen of Diamonds Jack of Clubs 7 of Hearts board.

    17th place: Alexandre Blanc – $1,080.00

On Table 36, it was Evgeni Ozadovski who involved in a huge pot versus David St-Louis. David opened the action preflop, and Evgeni came along from late position. On a board showing 6 of Diamonds 9 of Diamonds 8 of Clubs, fireworks began which resulted in both players announcing all-in. Evgeni tabled Ace of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds for the nut-flush draw, while David held 10 of Diamonds 10 of Hearts for an over-pair to the board with an added gutshot. Once the turn and river brought the 9 of Clubs and 4 of Hearts, Evgeni slid forward his 1.5 million stack and took a walk to the cashier to collect his prize, while David scooped the massive nearly 4-million chip pot.

    16th place: Evgeni Ozadovski – $1,080.00

Olivier Courcelles found himself short going into the last break and right after the players returned he found a decent shoving hand. He was in middle position when he got his chips in, only to find a caller in Martin Lapostolle to his immediate left but also Robert Ouellet on the button. They were three-way to the flop with Olivier all-in.

The flop was dealt: 4 of Spades Ace of Diamonds 7 of Spades and the instant the cards were on the felt, Martin declared that he was all-in, which resulted in just as quick a fold from Robert.

Olivier: 5 of Spades 5 of Clubs
Martin: Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs

The Queen of Hearts on the turn and 9 of Spades on the river secured the result for Martin and Olivier was sent to the rail.

    18th place: Olivier Courcelles, $1,080

There are just 18 players left in the tournament and while in many tournaments getting to 18 players would provoke a re-draw, in this case it simply meant that the tourney went from 3 tables to 2, with players randomly moved from the table that closed. Both of the remaining tables are back to full-ring play after playing somewhat short-handed in the past level or so, and play continues in level 28.

    George Kazarian

    George Kazarian

Sitting under the gun, George Kazarian looked down and some suited paint cards and pulled the trigger for his remaining 535,000. Action folded around to Martin Lapostolle, who made the call from the button, while the blinds mucked their hands next to act.

George: King of Hearts Queen of Hearts

Martin: Ace of Clubs King of Diamonds

The 3 of Hearts Jack of Clubs 4 of Spades 8 of Diamonds King of Clubs board brought no help to George, who saw his Event 1 deep run end in 21st place.

    21st place: George Kazarian – $910.00

    Billy Kurniawan

    Billy Kurniawan

We missed the action, however we lost short-stacked Billy Kurniawan in a recent hand on table 36, brining this field down to 19 players. With one more elimination, The Wild $150 will be down to it’s final 2 tables.

    20th place: Billy Kurniawan – $910.00

    Michael Malm

    Michael Malm

Michael Malm has been quite active in tonight’s Day 3, however he chipped down slowly throughout the early stages of the night to finally find himself with under 10bb. He pushed from under the gun for his last 460,000, and found folds from everyone but David St-Louis in the big blind.

Michael: King of Diamonds Queen of Clubs

    David: Ace of Diamonds 4s

David smashed the 4 of Diamonds 6 of Spades Ace of Spades 8 of Clubs King of Hearts board, and brought the field down to just 2 final tables.

    19th place: Michael Malm – $910.00

    Eliminations in 24th and 23rd

    George Caragiorgas

    George Caragiorgas

    George Caragiorgas

George Caragiorgas started the day short and before too long shipped his remaining stack after action folded to him in the small blind. Martin Lapostolle in the bb made the call and the cards were turned over.

George: Queen of Clubs 8 of Clubs
Martin: 10 of Spades 10 of Clubs

The board run out of 5 of Diamonds Ace of Clubs Ace of Diamonds 3 of Hearts 7 of Spades brought no relief for George and he was eliminated in 24th place.

    24th place: George Caragiorgas, $825

    Sebastien Lapierre

    Sebastien Lapierre

A few minutes later, Evgeni Ozadovski open shoved for about 700K from early position and found an opponent in Sebastien Lapierre, who moved all-in under for about 400K.

Evgeni: Jack of Clubs Jack of Hearts
Sebastien Ace of Hearts 9 of Hearts

Evgeni flopped a set, and by the end of the hand saw the end of Sebastien’s evening.

    23rd place: Sebastien Lapierre, $825
