Action continues in the $550 Freeze, which is now down to 6 tables remaining. There will be a break in 30 minutes when tournament staff will remove the T100 chips from play and we’ll update the leaderboard at that time.

Registration is now closed and there are 161 players in tonight’s $500 + $50 Freeze – Event 13 in the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net. Players have returned from their first break of the night and we were able to find a few of the early chop leaders – in fact, it’s a little congested at the top of the leaderboard!
With a current tournament chip average just over 30K, there are 6 players with more than double that – and less than 10K separating the top 6.

Tonight in the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net it’s Event 13, a $500 + $500 NL Hold’em Freeze. Players start with 25,000 chips and the blinds will go up every 20 minutes. As the name “Freeze” indicates, there are no rebuys or re-entries in this tourney, so players must play with care from the beginning of the event. That being said, playing too carefully will bring its own problems…
We’re expecting a good mix of visiting players and Playground regulars in this tournament, which will also include players of varying levels of skill and experience. It’s a recipe for a dynamic and very fun tournament – with a pretty great prize pool to boot!
The tournament got underway at 7pm and late registration is available through the first 6 20-minute levels tonight.
Good luck on the felts!
