Patrick St-Onge was being very patient with his last chips, but once his stack dropped to just 51,000, he felt he had to go with the small ace he was dealt. He moved in from early position, and Benny Chen completed the call from the small blind to go heads-up in the hand.

She tabled Ace of Diamonds Jack of Clubs for three-of-a-kind, however Richard tabled 3 of Spades 3 of Diamonds for a rivered full house.

Kathy was left with around 200K after the hand, while Richard chipped up to over 1.1 million.

    El-Khouri springs up the leaderboard

    Paul El-Khouri

In only a few hands, Paul El-Khouri has gone from short-stacked to one of the leaders here on this final table of The Second Chance. After doubling through Benny Chen with Ace of Spades Ace of Diamonds over King of Spades King of Hearts, he chipped up before finding another big double-up.

He opened to 18K from under the gun, and Jason Helder called in position. Heads-up on the flop, Paul fired 27K after the dealer rung out 2 of Hearts Jack of Diamonds 4 of Diamonds. Jason made the call, and they went to the 10 of Diamonds turn. This time Paul checked his option, and called the 45K bet Jason threw out. When the river brought the 2 of Diamonds, putting a 4th diamond on board, Paul checked again. Jason put the pressure on by announcing all-in, but Paul made a quick confident call.

Jason flashed King of Hearts Jack of Spades for jacks-up, and Paul tabled the winning King of Spades King of Diamonds for a king-high flush, earning him a pot of nearly 600K.

Linda Huard opened the action from under the gun, and found a call from Benny Chen in the small blind. Benny check-called on the 2 of Diamonds Jack of Clubs 5 of Hearts flop, and then check-shoved on the 9 of Spades turn after Linda fired a big second bullet. Linda made the call to find her over-pair trailing the turned top-two of Benny.

Linda: Queen of Hearts Queen of Spades
Benny: Jack of Hearts 9 of Hearts

The King of Diamonds fell on the river, and Benny won a pot of 700K, diminishing Linda’s stack to around 190K. The blinds went up on the next hand as level 18 ended.

Linda recovered regained a few chips at the start of the new level, when she flatted a 17K open from Jason Helder, which was also called by Patrick St-Onge in the big blind. All three players checked it down to the river, and with the board showing 2 of Diamonds 10 of Spades 4 of Spades Queen of Diamonds Queen of Clubs, Jason fired 15K. Linda raised to 50K, and after Patrick folded his hand, Jason threw in calling chips. She tabled King of Clubs Queen of Spades, prompting Jason to muck his hand.

    Richard Edwin Mask

Shortly after finding a double-up versus Ari Engel, Richard Edwin Mask clashed with big stack Jason Helder, which resulted in a 660K pot where all the chips went in pre-flop.

They both tabled the same hand, Ace-King, however Richard’s were suited in hearts, and surely enough the board ran out as 4 of Hearts Queen of Clubs 2 of Hearts Jack of Diamonds 9 of Hearts, giving the win to Richard, who is now our new chip-leader.

We lost short-stacked H H on the next hand, as he ended his run in 9th place, collecting $4,950.00 along the way.

Richard raised the action to 41K, and Ari came along. The 10 of Hearts fell on the turn, and Richard took a minute before announcing his all-in, worth 115K. Ari made the call, and hands were tabled.

Richard: 10 of Diamonds 9 of Hearts
Ari: Queen of Clubs Queen of Diamonds

The river 2 of Diamonds was a brick in the hand, and Ari lost some of his chip-leading chips, falling to a still very healthy 560K stack.
