The $250 Frenzy Champion: Jaroslaw Zbigniew Jaskiewicz

The $250 Frenzy Champion: Jaroslaw Zbigniew Jaskiewicz

The $250 Frenzy in the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net has just come to a close after 35 levels spanning over 3 days of poker. At the end of it all, the last man standing was Jaroslaw Zbigniew Jaskiewicz!

Jaroslaw remained near the top of the leaderboard for most of the later parts of Day 2, and came into Day 3 as a top 5 stack. He scored a big double up with pocket kings early in the night, and used that momentum to carry him onto the final table – where he put on an impressive game.

A total of 1,248 entries took place over 6 Day 1 starting flights, and once play fell 3-handed, an ICM chip-chop was proposed – and accepted. The payout awarded $37,477 to Simon Pin-Disle for his chip-lead stack, while Jaroslaw ($31,884) and Zheng-Yi Xie ($31,640) took an almost even share. The tournament set aside an extra $5,000 for the eventual winner, along with a Playground Poker Spring Classic Champion’s Trophy, and play remained very solid amongst the final three even with the deal locked in.

Jaroslaw eventually built some momentum, and along with his mountains of chips, he began heads-up with a commanding lead – to cruise his way to victory.

Congratulations!

    Zheng-Yi Xie

Zheng-Yi, better know as Ziggy in these parts, has just been eliminated from this final table of The $250 Frenzy. He collected $31,640 in the 3-way deal that happened earlier.

His downfall came in two hands. On the first hand, his A8-suited fell second best to the AT-off of Simon, who ran a straight on the K98 6 7 board. Ziggy saw nearly 5-million of his chips get shifted to Simon.

Shortly after, he pushed all-in from the button and found himself heads-up once again versus Simon.

    Pin-Disle takes the chip lead

    Simon Pin-Disle

Simon Pin-Disle defended his big blind facing a button min-raise from Maxime. He lead out 550,000 on a Jack of Spades Ace of Spades 8 of Spades flop, and Maxime replied with a raise to 1,325,000. Simon 3bet his over 5-million chip stack, and Maxime double-checked his cards before making a quick call.

Simon: Ace of Hearts 8 of Hearts

Maxime: Queen of Spades 2 of Spades

Simon let out a sigh when he saw he was in bad shape, but the running 9 of Clubs and Ace of Clubs gave him a full house to win the hand over Maxime’s flopped flush. He now holds a little over 11.5 million chips, good for the lead, while Maxime is down to about 700,000.
