Here are some shots of the field early in today’s $500 + $100 + $500 50/50 Bounty tournament. Registration continues to climb as late reg is still open for another hour and 45 minutes – and the prize pool just gets bigger and bigger!

As expected, registration in this event is climbing quickly, and the trend should continue for a while. After just 2/3 of the first level another 40 players have joined the action, bringing the total number of players to 88.
The time has come! Players have taken their seats, the tournament director has made his announcements, and with the formalities out of the way… cards are in the air!
There are 48 players at the tables to start things off this morning, but players should remember that late registration is available for 6 full levels today (plus a 15-minute break after level 4), and players will join throughout the late registration period.

In just 35 minutes, play will get underway in Event 7 of the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net. But that introduction is altogether too dry for the tournament that’s about to begin – it’s a $500 + $100 + $500 NL Hold’em 50/50 Bounty event. You read it correctly – each player in this amazing bounty tournament will be given a $500 Bounty Chip that they must cede to the player that eliminates them from the tournament! Not $25, not $100… Five hundred dollars!
This is undoubtedly one of the larger events on this year’s Spring Classic schedule, and given the sometimes wild dynamics of any bounty tournament, it’s certain to be one of the most fun events on the schedule as well! Not only will the “traditional” prize pool be impressive, but the prizes locked up on players’ bounty chips is HUGE!
This is a one-day event and blinds throughout will be 30 minutes in length and players start with a 25K stack. As is the case for all events with a buy in of greater than $500, late registration will be available through the first 6 levels of the tournament, which means that players have until 2:15pm to join in the fun – and we expect to draw new players right until the end of late reg.
