    7th and 8th place

With 50K in chips in his stack, Nimer Ltaif pushed all-in with a pair of 8s, getting an immediate call from the player in the bb who held pocket Aces. When another Ace appeared on the flop, Nimer rose to go and collect his prize coupon at the tournament desk.

The final table is barely 5 minutes old and there have already been two eliminations, including Patrick Mailloux.

Patrick was in the bb and the table folded around to James Hugues-Scavone in the sb. James shoved, Patrick called and the showdown was on. It was high card King for James vs a Jack for Patrick, and when the board bricked out for both players, the King took the hand and Patrick was eliminated in 9th place.

    9th place: Patrick Mailloux – $1,860

A few quick eliminations have taken place in the minutes following the money-bubble.

We lost Daniel Suied, who shoved for 15bb with Ace of Hearts Jack of Hearts and ran into the King of Clubs King of Diamonds of Darryll Fish.

Andrew Frankenberger flopped three-of-a-kind, as did Guillaume Nolet, however Guillaume’s kicker showed up on the running cards to give him a full-house for the win.

Ari Engel was also knocked out as he shoved a short stack with a pocket pair of 4s, and ran into pocket Aces and pocket Kings.

The tournament director has just announced the final 6 hands of play for the day, and once they have been completed on all the tables the WPT CSC will go on break until tomorrow.

Bust ITM in 48th place @WPT @PlaygroundPoker . KQ<Q3 (!!) on QQ8A3. Guess I should have folded the river lol

Darryll Fish brings the WPT CSC into the money

    Darryll Fish

2015 WPT Montreal runner-up Darryll Fish has just made 53 players very happy, as he knocked out Anthony O’Hagan in 55th place to bring the WPT Canadian Spring Classic into the money! The chips all went into the middle preflop, and when nothing was left to wager, Darryll quickly turned over his Ace of Diamonds Ace of Spades, which had no trouble defeating the 10 of Clubs Jack of Clubs of his adversary.

Day 2 will come to a close once the time runs out in the current level, in just under 40 minutes of play. Players still in at that point will bag their chips for Day 3 tomorrow, which will resume in level 19 – 4K / 8K / a1K.

Congratulations to the players who have made the money!
