Eliminations have been fast and furious since the money-bubble burst, and in just half a level we’ve lost over twenty players. A few players are starting to build monster stacks, most notably Tomas Larivee Magni, who in recent moments has just crossed the 1-million chip mark. Others rivalling his lead are George Kazarian (850,000), Marco Lang (675,000), Maxime Theroux (650,000), Arnold Yaxley (650,000) and Duy Toan Pham (550,000), while the rest of the field fall bellow the 500,000 chip mark.
“Congratulations, you are now in the money!”
Those were the words just spoken by our Tournament Director, who was congratulating the remaining 126 players for making it into the money in The $250 Frenzy. Hand-for-hand only last for one hand before Jean-Francois Alexandre was eliminated in 127th place, one shy of the money.
Only a few spots away
The money bubble is catching up with us, and we are now only a few spots away from being in the money here in The $250 Frenzy! 126 will be paid, and with 8 more eliminations the rest of the field will be guaranteed a cash-prize.
The leaders near the money bubble
Only 143 players remain in The $250 Frenzy, and with 126 scheduled to lock-in a cash prize, the money bubble is creeping up on us. There are a number of short stacks in the field, many of which are most likely looking forward for this milestone in the tournament to be behind them.

Day 2 photos
Here are some early shots of the action here in Day 2 of The $250 Frenzy, part of the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net:
Event 4 Champion: Andrew Dick
Event 4 in the Playground Poker Spring Classic was a NL Hold’em DeepStack Turbo which took place on Monday April 25th at noon. A total of 136 players participated in this 1-day event, of which 14 locked in a cash prize.
When play fell 6-handed, players decided to do an even-chop of the remaining prize pool ($1,700 each), awarding a touch more to chip-leader at the time Jeremie Trepanier ($1,797). The tournament structure required $265 extra to be left for the eventual winner, and once play resumed after the deal, the eliminations came very quickly. Many gambles were taken in an attempt to come out as tournament champion, and it was finally Andrew Dick who was the man with all the chips at the end of the tournament.
Troy Vandaalen tried his best to overcome Andrew in heads-up play, however in the final hand his was not able to overcome the of Andrew, forcing him out in 2nd place.
Andrew Dick took home a total of $1,965 for his victory in Event 4, and was also awarded a Playground Poker Spring Classic Champion’s Trophy for his run.
Congratulations!

Event 4: Results
Event 4 in the Playground Poker Spring Classic presented by partypoker.net was a $100 + $10 NL Hold’em Deepstack Turbo tournament that began on April 15th 2106 at 12pm. There were 136 players in the tournament which added up to a prize pool of $13,192.00. 14 players were in the money and received prizes according to the following table.
Note there was a player deal reached at 6 players remaining. They agreed to reserve $265 and the Champion’s trophy for the winner and to divide the remaining prize pool evenly among them except for $97 which was added to the big chip leader’s prize immediately. The following payout table reflects this agreement. As the event was played to a conclusion, the order reflects the actual order of finish, which accounts for why a lower-ranked player earned a larger prize than a player who finished later.

Through to level 16
The first level of play in Day 2 of The $250 Frenzy has just wrapped up and the pace is very quick, as expected. There have already been 26 eliminations as short stacks try and put themselves in position to make a deep run – and equally, as the larger stacks try and use their strength to make a solid start for the day.
The pace will slow down, but not for a while yet – most likely, not until the bubble looms…
An agreement has been reached!
After almost 15-minutes of back-and-forth, the final 6 players in Event 4 have come to an agreement. They have agreed to take an (almost) even-share of the prize pool each, leaving behind the required $265 behind for the eventual winner, who will also take home a Playground Poker Spring Classic Champion’s Trophy.
Given Jeremie Trepantier was ahead of the other 5, he asked for a slightly larger piece of the prize. He will take home $1,797, while the other 5 players lock-in $1,700. As stipulated by the tournament rules, play must continue until there is a winner – and this player will collect the trophy, as well as the additional $265 in cash.
Congratulations!
