Richard Edwin Mask raised to 18K from utg + 1, and Ari called from the cutoff. Linda 3bet to 80K from the big blind, and Richard 4bet to 160K. Ari let go of his cards, and Linda pushed all-in for a little more.

Linda: Jack of Diamonds Jack of Spades
Richard: Ace of Clubs Queen of Clubs

Linda had a bad feeling on the flop even after spiking a set, and with reason as Richard turned the flush to win the pot on a Jack of Clubs 3 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds 10 of Clubs 2 of Spades board, bringing the field down to 7 players.

    8th place: Linda Huard – $6,590.00

Linda Huard opened the action from under the gun, and found a call from Benny Chen in the small blind. Benny check-called on the 2 of Diamonds Jack of Clubs 5 of Hearts flop, and then check-shoved on the 9 of Spades turn after Linda fired a big second bullet. Linda made the call to find her over-pair trailing the turned top-two of Benny.

Linda: Queen of Hearts Queen of Spades
Benny: Jack of Hearts 9 of Hearts

The King of Diamonds fell on the river, and Benny won a pot of 700K, diminishing Linda’s stack to around 190K. The blinds went up on the next hand as level 18 ended.

Linda recovered regained a few chips at the start of the new level, when she flatted a 17K open from Jason Helder, which was also called by Patrick St-Onge in the big blind. All three players checked it down to the river, and with the board showing 2 of Diamonds 10 of Spades 4 of Spades Queen of Diamonds Queen of Clubs, Jason fired 15K. Linda raised to 50K, and after Patrick folded his hand, Jason threw in calling chips. She tabled King of Clubs Queen of Spades, prompting Jason to muck his hand.

Shortly after finding a double-up versus Ari Engel, Richard Edwin Mask clashed with big stack Jason Helder, which resulted in a 660K pot where all the chips went in pre-flop.

They both tabled the same hand, Ace-King, however Richard’s were suited in hearts, and surely enough the board ran out as 4 of Hearts Queen of Clubs 2 of Hearts Jack of Diamonds 9 of Hearts, giving the win to Richard, who is now our new chip-leader.

We lost short-stacked H H on the next hand, as he ended his run in 9th place, collecting $4,950.00 along the way.

The official WPT Final Table always starts with 6 players remaining but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a 9-handed tournament, which means that the players must be brought together on the final table with 10 players remaining. There has been a full seating redraw to put this table together, and the players have now taken their seats and play has resumed in the tournament. Level 24 will end in under 5 minutes, at which time there will be a break and we will refresh the counts for all players.

Here is the new seating order:

    Lavallée out in 11th place

Jason Lavallée has hit the rail in 11th place, having lost his final hand to Joel Miller. Jason was in the bb in the hand, and Joel raised to 50K which was met with a quick shove from Jason for approximately 570K in chips. Joel called and the cards were revealed.

Jason: 3 of Spades 3 of Hearts
Joel: Queen of Diamonds Queen of Hearts

The flop had no solutions to Jason’s problem – in fact, it only propelled Joel further into the lead: 9 of Spades Queen of Clubs King of Clubs and the turn 8 of Hearts led to a meaningless Jack of Clubs on the river.

    11th place, Jason Lavallée, $18,750.00

Richard Edwin Mask defending his big blind when Ari Engel raised from middle position. On a 10 of Clubs 5 of Hearts 7 of Spades board, Richard checked and Ari fired 16K. Richard raised the action to 41K, and Ari came along. The 10 of Hearts fell on the turn, and Richard took a minute before announcing his all-in, worth 115K. Ari made the call, and hands were tabled.

Richard: 10 of Diamonds 9 of Hearts
Ari: Queen of Clubs Queen of Diamonds

The river 2 of Diamonds was a brick in the hand, and Ari lost some of his chip-leading chips, falling to a still very healthy 560K stack.

    Nguyen 13th, Gill 12th

Ha Van Nguyen and Rene Fortin have both been relatively short for most of the day, but sitting side-by-side, have been able to avoid playing too many pots together. That ended just now as Rene shoved and after some grimacing and gesticulating by Ha, he found a call.

Rene: Queen of Spades Jack of Hearts
Ha: 10 of Hearts 10 of Spades

The flop brought nothing for Rene: 7 of Diamonds King of Hearts King of Spades, but the turn Jack of Spades was just what he needed and the blank on the river sent Ha to the tournament desk to pick up his payout coupon.

While we were paying attention to the hand on table 39, Harpreet Singh Gill was being eliminated from table 40.
