Today at Playground Poker Club is the second of three starting flights in the partypoker.net WPT Canadian Spring Championship. Day 1a had 79 entries, and the normal progression of starting day popularity suggests that today’s starting flight will feature quite a few more players, with everything culminating on Day 1c which should be the largest of the starting days.
27 players have already qualified for Day 2, and today’s qualifiers will add to that number – but only after players survive to bag chips at the end 10 levels of gruelling poker action!
Remember that this is a “next-day re-entry” event. This means that any player who plays in one or more flights may re-enter in a subsequent starting flight – players may enter each of the 3 starting flights once. If a player is skilled and lucky enough to qualify through multiple Day 1s, only their largest qualifying stack will be on the table to begin Day 2.
Blinds for each Day 1 will be 60 minutes in length and players start with a 30,000 chip starting stack. There will be 15 minute breaks after every 2nd level except level 6, which will be followed by a 45-minute long dinner break. Then end of the dinner break also marks the end of late registration today.
Day 2 will begin at 12:00pm on Monday May 2nd.
