The players have just taken their first break in Day 3 of the WPT Canadian Spring Championship, and we took this time to find out who the big stacks are. The table below represents the chip leaders as play enters level 20.
In the hand before the break, Ruben Perceval eliminated Ivan Fazal Karim to put him amongst the leaders. He raised to 19K from the cutoff, and Ivan followed from the button. On a board, Ruben led for 25K, and then called Ivan’s raise to 75K. When the turn brought and off-suit King, he checked the action to his opponent, who pushed for around 90K. Ruben made the call, and found that his A7 was the best hand, as Ivan tabled a pocket pair of 3s. The river brought no change and Ivan was eliminated in 34th place, collecting $7,900.oo along the way.
