William Molson was all-in for 44,000 from the cutoff, and Mohsin Charania committed his slightly smaller stack from the button before Joey Weissman made the quick call from the big blind.

William: Ace of Clubs 9 of Clubs
Mohsin: Jack of Spades Jack of Diamonds
Joey: Ace of Hearts Ace of Diamonds

William picked up some equity on the flop, however Joey’s bullets prevailed on the 3 of Clubs 6 of Clubs 2 of Hearts 4 of Spades 4 of Diamonds board to send his two opponents to the rail. Joey now sits on a healthy 180,000 chip stack with 22 players remaining.

After almost an hour of hand-for-hand play, the WPTDeepStacks event has finally reached the “In the Money” stage, which caps out at 111 players. The unlucky 112th player, Brian Beggs, ended up busting out at the hands of Thomas Facette, over on table 22.

When we joined the hand (along with about 25 interested onlookers), the flop had been dealt 3 of Diamonds 5 of Clubs King of Clubs. Brian had shoved for his remaining 55,000 chips, called by a much larger stack in Thomas Facette. Both players flipped over their cards.

Brian: King of Spades 10 of Clubs

Thomas: Jack of Clubs 2 of Clubs

The turn and river came down 3 of Hearts 6 of Clubs, no help to Brian, with the flush adding a little to Thomas’s stack.

Brian will leave the tournament empty-handed, and the rest of our players now battle it out for the prize pool. In fact, in the time it took to write this post and upload the pictures, there have been 14 other busts occur in rapid succession, and we are now down to 97 competitors.

Good luck to all those still at the tables!

The High Roller event is taking it’s final break of the day, and when players return they will have 2 more levels to complete before calling it a day.

Tommy Nguyen has taken over the top spot on the leaderboard, which was held by Kristen for most of the day. Interestingly enough, the top 3 stacks are all sitting one next to another on table 65, with Pascal in position – this could lead to some interesting developments. Top counts heading into level 15 are found below:

Preflop, Patricia Messier raised to 3,600 and Montrealer Carla Sabini (bb) called. The small blind, Brigitte Korak, smiled and raised to 11,000. Patricia pondered before returning her cards to the dealer, while Carla quickly wasted no time before tossing her hand in as well. Brigitte turned over her hole cards King of Hearts King of Spades for the table to see, and raked in preflop winnings.

    Prize pool and payout structure

    2018/11/03 | 20:37 by Playground Poker

The WPT Montreal High Roller event saw a total of 97 entries, of which 29 were re-entries. Since the $1,000,000 guarantee was not met, this would stand as the prize pool for the event, minus the 3% reserved for staff gratuities.

The payout structure includes prizes for the top 13 players, with the payouts listed in the table below.
