Jean-Serge Baril opened to 40,000 from the button, and Azim Popatia 3-bet all-in for 155,000 from the small blind. Amir Babakhani made the call from the big blind for roughly half of his own stack, and Jean-Serge followed along.

Amir and Jean-Serge checked it down to the river, and all players were asked to open up their cards.

    Jean-Serge: 8 of Clubs 7 of Hearts
Azim: Ace of Clubs 8 of Diamonds
Amir: Ace of Hearts 10 of Diamonds

Board: Jack of Diamonds 4 of Hearts Queen of Clubs 3 of Spades 6 of Clubs

Amir ended up taking down the pot with Ace-high Ten-kicker, virtually doubling him up, while Azim was eliminated from play.

At table 84 Ryan McKnight raised to 1,700, preflop. Steve Rioux, Patrick Eskandar, and Aaron Massey all called.

When the flop came down 5 of Hearts King of Clubs 4 of Diamonds, Ryan, the low stack at the table bet 2,500. Steve and Aaron tossed in their cards. Patrick studied Ryan, and called. But when the 3 of Hearts was dealt on the turn, Ryan checked, and Patrick pounced. He wagered 6,300… enough to bust his opponent. Ryan peeked at his hole cards, and regarded the pot, before returning his hand to the dealer.

Day 1D of the $1,500 + $150 WPTDeepStacks event just kicked off a few minutes here ago at Playground Poker Club. This is the fourth of five WPTDeepStacks flights this week. In addition to today’s action there will be a Turbo Day 1E tomorrow at 10:00am, Saturday November 3rd.

Players will start the evening with 30,000 tournament chips and the WPTDeepStacks competitors will play through twelve levels, 40 minutes each. There will be breaks following every 3rd level on each Day 1, but no dinner break in  this evening’s flight.

Because this is a multiple re-entry event players will be permitted one entry and one re-entry. Late registration will be available until the beginning of level 10, or at approximately 12:30am.

Good luck to everyone playing – the cards are now in the air!

Adam Cader opened to 35,000 from early position, and play folded around to Andrew Macdonald in the big blind. Andrew put his opponent to the test by 3-betting all-in, and Adam made the call after a quick moment in the tank.

Andrew: Ace of Hearts King of Spades
Adam: Jack of Hearts Jack of Spades

Adam had to sweat it until the river, as Andrew flopped a flush draw in addition to his two over cards, however pocket-Jacks prevailed on the 5 of Hearts Queen of Hearts 4 of Hearts 6 of Spades 3 of Diamonds board to place Adam up above the average stack. He now holds 835,000 chips, while Andrew slips to below 600,000.

Win your way to the Caribbean Poker Party!

    2018/11/02 | 17:47 by Playground Poker

There are two new ways to win your way into the Caribbean Poker Party, being held at Baha Mar in the Bahamas from November 9 to 18. You could win an $8,000 USD package!

The first way to win will be held on partypoker on Sunday November 4 at 4:00pm – they’re hosting a Centroll with 3 packages guaranteed. The buy-in is just one penny ($0.01), but there’s one very small catch – you will need a password to join the fun!

To get the password couldn’t be easier. Simply watch the live stream of Day 5 coverage of the WPT Montreal Main Event beginning at 12:00pm on Sunday November 4 on Twitch.tv, partypokerlive.com, or via the partypoker LIVE Facebook page, and during the stream they’ll announce the password you need to join the Centroll.

There’s another way to win your package right here at Playground. Starting this evening, we’ll be hosting 10-player CPP Sit ‘n Go Jackpot tournaments. The buy-in is $1,050 – no rake – and when 10 players have bought in and the single-table tourney is ready to begin – we’ll spin a wheel to determine if 1, 2, or even 3 packages will be awarded – no extra cost!

For players who want an even faster result, you can choose a Flip ‘n Go instead of a normal Sit ‘n Go – we’ll spin the wheel for either format.

Each CPP package includes a $5,300 Main Event Seat & a room only deal at Grand Hyatt, Baha Mar from the 9th to the 18th of November – 9 nights. Taxes and fees are included, but breakfast and flights are not included.
