Adam Cader opened to 35,000 from early position, and play folded around to Andrew Macdonald in the big blind. Andrew put his opponent to the test by 3-betting all-in, and Adam made the call after a quick moment in the tank.

Adam had to sweat it until the river, as Andrew flopped a flush draw in addition to his two over cards, however pocket-Jacks prevailed on the board to place Adam up above the average stack. He now holds 835,000 chips, while Andrew slips to below 600,000.

With virtually even stacks, Nghi Van Tran and David Guay found themselves all-in against one another on the turn of a board.
David was the big favourite, holding a set with , and only had 4 straight outs to dodge, as Nghi Van tabled . The sealed the deal for David, who slid forward 320,000 to be doubled. He now holds 780,000 in chips, while Nghi Van’s remaining 25,000 chips vanished on the next hand.

After finding a massive double-up with pocket-Aces versus pocket-Kings, Mike Leah has claimed the top spot on the leaderboard midway through Day 3. A number of players have recently breached the 7-figures along with Mike, with the top stacks listed in the table below.

With no danger on the board, Amir found a key double-up to keep him in the running for a second WPT title. Although Sorel took a hit on the hand, he remains healthy with roughly average stack.

We are down to just 9 final tables in the WPT Montreal Main Event after completing 3 levels of play in Day 3.
Ema Zajmovic has excelled in the last level, springing up her once short stack up above the current average as she hunts for her 4th WPT final table and 2nd title. She began the day with a mere 74,000 in chips, but has managed to navigate her way through the money bubble, increasing her stack by nearly tenfold.
