The first break of Day 3 has just passed, and the field has lost 41 players since the start of the day, of which 14 were awarded a min-cash of $11,400.

Leading the way is Andrew Macdonald, who came into the day slightly above average and went on a hot streak, winning several large pots along the way. He now sits on 1,483,000 in chips, and is one of 3 players currently in the 7 figures. Below are the top 6 counts in play as we enter level 20:

With the WPT Montreal Main Event now in the money, a few quick eliminations have taken place.

Matthew Salsberg was among the early eliminations, after calling off his sub 10BB stack from the big blind faced with a late position shove. His 7 of Clubs 7 of Diamonds were outmatched by Bradley Smith’s Queen of Clubs Queen of Diamonds, and with no help on the 3 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds Ace of Hearts 6 of Hearts 9 of Hearts board he was eliminated in 99th place for $11,400.

Other in the money eliminations include Ari Engel, Darryll Fish and Carlo Nini, who all collected $11,400 for their Day 3 finish.

Alexander Keating was crippled shortly before hand-for-hand began, after his King of Hearts Jack of Hearts was bested by King of Spades King of Diamonds. He was left with only 30,000 chips, which went in to the middle during the first hand on the bubble. Richard Alsup isolated him next to act by moving all-in himself, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Alexander: Ace of Hearts 10 of Clubs
Richard: Ace of Spades Queen of Hearts

Both players flopped two-pairs, but Richard ended up scooping the pot on the Queen of Clubs Ace of Diamonds 10 of Hearts 2 of Diamonds Queen of Spades board to bring the field into the money.

The remainder of the field is now guaranteed at a payout of at least $11,400, much to the content of Darryll Fish, who was sitting with under 3 big blinds when hand-for-hand started.

Gianluca Cedolia has just doubled through Jonathan Little on table 28 to give himself a few more chips to try and make his way through the bubble.

Jonathan opened the action with a raise to 20K from utg+2. Gianluca, sitting directly to his left, threw in a time chip with 15 seconds left, and used most of the time before shoving his last 44K. The remaining players folded and Jonathan made the call.

Jonathan: King of Diamonds 10 of Hearts
Gianluca: King of Hearts King of Clubs

The board ran out perfectly for the pocket Kings: 2 of Diamonds Queen of Spades 3 of Diamonds Ace of Hearts 10 of Clubs and Gianluca moves forward to the bubble with just over 10bb.
