Day 2 of the WPT Montreal Main Event is into level 14, with 5 levels now in the books for the day. The dinner-break is scheduled to take place after level 14, where players will have 45 minutes to grab some grub and stretch their legs. They will then return to the felts to complete 3 more levels before the survivors bag their chips onto Day 3.

Day 2 in the Main Event has passed through 4 full levels of play and with 289 players still alive in the event, we surveyed the tournament floor for the current chip leaders. David Guay continues to lead the tournament, but a lot of players have closed the gap since the last time we took the pulse of the event. Right on David’s heels are fellow Quebec players Maxime Heroux, Kevin Rivest, and Maxime Flibotte-Blanchard.

322 players remain in level 12 of the WPT Montreal Main Event, and the current chip leader appears to be David Guay with well over 300,000 in front of him. Players will go on a 15-minute break once this level has been completed, and at this point we will publish an update on the top stacks in play.
