Carl Gagne-Lizotte opened from early position to 200,000, and Nick Nickoletopoulos 3bet all-in next to act. Luigi Fantigrossi decided to join the party and moved all-in from the button, holding slightly less than Nick. Carl let go of his hand and the heads-up players opened their hands.

Nick: Ace of Spades King of Spades
Luigi: Ace of Diamonds Queen of Spades

Luigi improved his hand on the 8 of Diamonds Queen of Hearts Jack of Diamonds 2 of Diamonds 7 of Spades board and found a double-up of his 1,480,000 stack, leaving Nick with only a few blinds behind.

Moments later Nick committed the remainder of his chips, and his King of Spades 8 of Diamonds was bested by Joel Berard’s Ace of Diamonds Jack of Clubs to end his run in 6th place ($1,890).

    7th place: Brenda Blackburn

    • Level: 28
    • Small Blind: 30K

Another dramatic river card just took place on the final table of the PG100, and this time Luigi Fantigrossi found himself on the right side of the equation.

Brenda Blackburn was all-in and at risk with 7 of Hearts 7 of Clubs against the Ace of Clubs Ace of Hearts of Luigi, and although she managed to take the early lead by flopping a set, she was eventually eliminated by a higher boat on the 10 of Clubs 10 of Spades 7 of Diamonds King of Hearts Ace of Diamonds board.

    Brenda’s 7th place finish earned her a $1,585 payday.

Top boat no good for Fantigrossi

A very rare hand just occurred on the final table of the PG100, one so rare that had it been played out on a cash game table, the small Bad Beat Jackpot would have been triggered.

Michael Malm opened to 100,000 from early position, and Joel Berard 3bet all-in for 765,000 from the small blind. Luigi Fantigrossi quickly moved all-in over the top, forcing Michael out of the hand after a brief moment in the tank.

Joel: King of Spades King of Clubs
Luigi: Ace of Spades Ace of Clubs

Board: Ace of Hearts 7 of Clubs King of Hearts 6 of Spades King of Diamonds

Both players flopped a set on the flop before Joel found his miracle card on the river to make quad Kings, overcoming Luigi’s Aces-full-of-Kings.

    8th place: Michel Paradis

    • Level: 27
    • Small Blind: 25K
    • Big Blind: 50K
    • BB Ante: 50K
    • Chip Average: 1.4M
    • Remaining: 7

The short stacks are being quickly picked off from this final table of the PG100. The most recent casualty was that of Michel Paradis, who 3bet shoved for 250,000 after Michael Malm opened.

Michel: Ace of Hearts King of Diamonds
Michael: 10 of Diamonds 10 of Spades

Michael spiked a set on the flop and held on to eliminate Michel on a 9 of Spades 10 of Clubs Queen of Hearts 7 of Hearts 4 of Hearts board, bringing the field down to just 7 runners. Michel was awarded a prize of $1,290 for his 8th place finish.

    9th place: Ashley Whissell

    • Level: 27
    • Small Blind: 25K
    • Big Blind: 50K
    • BB Ante: 50K
    • Chip Average: 1.25M
    • Remaining: 8

    2019/03/24 - 17:43 by Playground Poker

Ashley Whissell has been sitting with a short stack for several orbits now, and in the process managed to ladder up a few spots before finding her elimination hand.

With less than 100,000 chips left and in the big blind position, she committed her stack against Michel Paradis’ late position open.

Ashley: 5 of Diamonds 7 of Diamonds
Michel: Ace of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds

Board: 4 of Clubs King of Diamonds 2 of Hearts 10 of Spades 9 of Clubs

Ashley was eliminated in 9th place, earning a cool $1,000 for her finish.

    10th place: Geng Chen

    • Level: 26
    • Small Blind: 20K
    • Big Blind: 40K
    • BB Ante: 40K
    • Chip Average: 1.1M
    • Remaining: 9
    • Entries: 496

    2019/03/24 - 17:40 by Playground Poker

Luigi Fantigrossi opened to 100,000 from middle position, and was 3bet by Geng Chen to 300,000. He made the call and a 4 of Spades King of Clubs 8 of Clubs flop was dealt.

Luigi led out for 300,000, and Geng moved all-in for a touch more than that.

Luigi: King of Spades Jack of Diamonds
Geng: Ace of Spades Ace of Clubs

Luigi improved to two-pair on the Jack of Spades turn, and secured the pot with a 6 of Clubs on the river. Geng was eliminated in 10th place, collecting $840 for his final table appearance.
