There are now 25 players left in the tournament and the action is going strong, fast, and hard.

The more experienced PLO players are choosing their spots an the less-experienced ones are taking chances. This makes for very interesting outcomes at the tables.

Here are a few more photos of the players, taken in levels 7 and 8.

The registration period for Event #3 PLO Bounty Re-entry is now closed. In total the tournament logged 49 entries, including 10 re-entries. There are now 33 players remaining as the players trickle back into the tournament hall to battle on.

We took the opportunity to see where the chips are stacked. Three players have managed to gather 70K+ chips. Maxime Laberge has the top spot on the leaderboard with an imposing 97,000 chips. His closest challengers are not too threatening for the moment. Patrick Piché has 70,600 chips and Samuel Miranda just makes the cut with 70,000 chips. But, it’s still early.

The action was already in full swing on table #60. Harrison Kaczka was all-in for 28,000, and staring at a board showcasing an already sizable pot. Maxime Laberge was the only other player left to act. After a short moment Maxime called and both players showed their hand:

Harrison: 3 of Spades Ace of Hearts 5 of Diamonds 8 of Hearts
Maxime: 2 of Diamonds 8 of Spades 6 of Clubs 7 of Spades

Board: 6 of Hearts 5 of Spades 7 of Clubs 4 of Spades 6 of Spades

Both players had hit their straight draw on the turn, but the river spelled disaster for Kaczka, giving Laberge a boat, and all the chips.

Harrison, understandably crestfallen, tried to put his remaining 1,100 chips into the next pot before immediately, but he was reminded that he was big blind so could only put the required 200 chips; for now. Obviously, all the players had an eye on Harrison’s $50 bounty. So all the players limped in for 200 until the action came around to Harrison. Surprising no one, Harrison shoved his bounty chip and remaining chips forward.

This was received by 3 calls, until Mike Fraser, on the button, raised all-in for 17,000. A few players folded until Maxime Laberge, out for blood, shoved all-in as well, and he covered everyone. Henri Lajoie was the only player still in and he put an end to the action when he folded.

Harrison Kaczka: King of Hearts Queen of Diamonds 8 of Spades 4 of Diamonds
Mike Fraser: 2 of Spades Queen of Clubs 10 of Hearts Ace of Hearts
Maxime Laberge: 10 of Spades 10 of Diamonds Jack of Clubs Queen of Hearts

Board: Jack of Hearts Ace of Diamonds 4 of Hearts 5 of Spades Queen of Spades

Mike Harrison was very happy about his top-two pairs and pulled all the chips towards him, including Kaczka’s bounty.

So Kaczka is out in 2 hands and hits the rail early.

Pot Limit Omaha players are trickling in slowly as the end of level 2 approaches. Right now the boards are showing 27 players out of 30 entries, including 2 re-entries. It’s still early and the Omaha enthusiasts have plenty of time to make it down to the tournament hall here at Playground Poker Club.

Registrations (or re-entries) are open until the beginning of level 7, at 10:15pm.

Here are a few photos of the players, from levels 1 and 2.
