As soon as the final table was under way, Ioannis Tsontakis was eliminated, leaving 8 players to duke it out until only one survives.

The players are taking a well-deserved break, which allowed us to perform a full chip count of all the players.

The remaining 15 players  have agreed upon “bubble” deal that will allow all remaining players to get some prize money.  $10 from each position has been removed in order to create a $140 prize for 15th place.

As is the case when such a deal is made, the action will now be quicker and there should be a final table rather swiftly.

Here are the five MILLIONS Seat winners

    2019/03/25 - 2:28 by Playground Poker

The 7 players still in the action were not going anywhere. For more than 3 levels, no one got sent to the rail. There were always two or three short stacks, but all their all-ins and/or their shoves went their way and they stayed in play.

With the 6th place bringing in a hefty $8,500 cash prize, no one wanted to leave with empty hands in 7th position. There were a few discussions that took place, about maybe taking some cash from the 6th place and making a “bubble”, but there was no agreement to be had.

Chris Rho, who’s been an almost permanent fixture in this Playground Power Weekend, was sitting on a micro stack for far too many hands. He got lucky and found some chips in some nice spots, but the players were obviously targeting him for the bubble spot. In the end, his luck ran out. Holding 4 of Hearts 6 of Diamonds he was all-in against two other players. David St-Louis was holding 4 of Diamonds 4 of Clubs and mega chip leader Nirvair Sandhu was holding Jack of Hearts Queen of Clubs. For the last hour, Sandhu was being very careful not to give his chips to the shorter stacks, so when he stayed in the hand everyone knew it was not with air. The queen on the board King of Diamonds 3 of Hearts 3 of Spades Queen of Spades 7 of Diamonds sealed Rho’s fate and he was sent to the rail in the bubble position.

As soon as Chris left the table, Tomislav Pavkovic forfeited his stack and took 6th position, and $8,500.

Congratulations to the 5 winners of a buy-in to the MILLIONS North America Main Event this May!

    Argento takes the lead

    2019/03/25 - 2:09 by Playground Poker

Two tables left, 20 players, and Maxime Argento takes the lead. Maxime is sitting on a nice 240,000 stack; improving a lot since the last update. Guillaume Daleux, with 204,000 chips is the only other player above the 200K mark.

Things are getting serious, and the bust-outs are getting sparse as the players constantly watch the boards. The top 14 will be paid, so every chip counts now.
