The action has been heating up as many of the players with shorter stacks have found that if they hit that spot where it is “now or never”, they have been shoving away, hoping for a badly needed double up.
Shelly Rapp took a lot of chips from Manolis Garoufalis, and as the dealer was sending the chips her way, a few of the chips fell behind, and the dealer had to make sure that all of them made it to her. She told the dealer “as long as you bring the chips my way, I really don’t care what happens on the journey”.
The next hand, Garoufalis finding himself with a big hit on hos stack, announced that he was “all in blind”. The player seated to his left, Marc Touloute, also then shoved his stack. Then Langis De Grand Pre, seated in late position, instantly announced that he was all in.
The hands were tabled:
Garoufalis:
Touloute:
De Grand Pre:
De Grand Pre smashed the
flop, and the
turn and
river were of no help to either of the shorter stacks, who’s tournament lives ended just like that.
