Early photos
As anticipated, tonight’s Day 1D is proving to be very popular, as already 317 players have shown up and taken their seats. There is still around an hour left before we close the late registration period, and so it’s not too late to make your way down here to jump in the action!

Guy Carbonneau pays Playground Poker Club a visit
Although it’s only been a few short years since Playground Poker Club opened its doors, we have made many friendships during this time, from local to international players, amateurs to professionals, even television stars, sports celebrities, and many others. Every now and again, one of these familiar faces drops by the club to say hello, play some cards, or simply enjoy a tasty meal and beverage at The Rail Coal Fire Bistro.
Tonight, we have the pleasure of hosting local legend Guy Carbonneau, a local hockey hero and former head coach. Although he is quite the avid poker player, Guy is here simply to enjoy a drink at The Rail while watching tonight’s hockey games. A little bird did tell us he might be back to play Event 5, the $500 + $50 No Limit Hold’em Freeze later this week, scheduled for Tuesday at 11am.

Late registration open until 9:15pm
We’ve just heard our Tournament Director announce the traditional “Shuffle up and Deal” speach, and with that, this fourth flight to The Wild $150 is underway! This is the last chance to qualify for Day 2, and for those interested in coming down to join us, we will be taking late registrations until the end of the first break, which is at roughly 9:15pm.
The board is showing 165 entries at the moment, however there is still a steady flow of players making their way to the cashiers, and we should see today’s number rival, if not surpass, last night’s attendance of 341.
Good luck!
Final flight of The Wild $150
Cards will be in the air in just a few moments for this fourth and final starting day of The Wild $150. This opening event of the Playground Poker Spring Classic has already seen a total 843 entries through three flights, and we should see a few more hundred take their seats tonight! The guarantee was surpassed somewhere during Day 1C, but just how big will this prizepool grow to? Stay tuned to find out!
Late registration will remain open through the first 4 levels and the break, so until roughly 9:15pm. Do not miss your chance to participate in this event!
See you on the felts!
