The 8-max tournament, Event 6 in the Playground Poker Spring Classic, now counts 6 tables. Players just took a short break, and are now back at the tables on level 14. 20% of the field remains, and it is now natural to start thinking about the Champion’s Trophy and the big prizes, although not recommended.

Ian Modder (title picture) has the biggest stack at this point of the tournament, sitting on 241K, which is more than twice the average. Here is a top 12, put together during the break:

Martin Finger is a super high stakes tournament player, with $6,790,644 in live earnings. He won a £48,500 + 1,500 No Limit Hold’em – Super High Roller Event in London in 2013 for £821,000, and a €25,000 + 500 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller 8Max Event in Barcelona in 2015 for €865,900. He is considered to be one of the best European tournament players. He currently has a little over 400K in chips, which is twice as much as his closest rival.

In second place, with about 200K in chips, is Jonathan Duhamel, local pro and former World Champion. He has $17,650,458 in live earnings. His greatest feat is obviously his win at the 41st World Series of Poker Main Event in 2010, where he pocketed $8,944,310 and the World Championship title. Since then, he also won the $111,111 No Limit Hold’em High Roller for One-Drop Event at the WSOP for $3,989,985, as well as other money finishes, some of which were from super high stakes tournaments.

These are our 2 Second Chance chip leaders right now… right here at Playground Poker Club. There are now 2 tables left, one for each of our top dogs, and 30 minutes left to this day.

A list of Day 2 qualifiers with counts will be published shortly after this level.

It is in a busy tournament hall that 8-max players will battle it out tonight. Day 3 of the Million is unfolding in the back of the left side on 8 tables including the featured table on stage, which is streamed online with a 30-minute delay. The Second Chance Event will keep at it until the end of level 15 in the other end.

These tournaments will halt in a few hours, at which point the 8-max Event will rule the hall for the remainder of the night. Players start with 25K in chips, and will play 20-minute levels until the Champion’s Trophy is awarded. The structure copies the regular schedule’s Wednesday night tournament, which is one of our most popular events, except the buy-in is inflated. For 300$ + 30$, players have a shot at a very nice prize pool guaranteed at 40K, playing on 8-handed table. Lots of room, lots of money on the line, lots of fun!

Already 147 players have already registered for Event 6. You have until 21h30 to join them and show what you can do!
