The traditional kick-off words have just been spoken, and the 173 players are back in action in Day 3 of the partypoker Million North America. They will play through another 8 levels of 75-minutes before going on break onto Day 4, and we can expect to reach the money-bubble in the levels to come.

The top 119 will earn a spot in the payouts, with the min-cash set at $10,000. Locking in a seat at the official 8-handed final table will secure a prize of at least $80,000, with the top 7 earning a 6-figure payday and a massive $1,000,000 reserved for the eventual tournament champion. Full prize-pool and payout information available here.

James Romero returns to the felts as the chip leader with 19,655,000, and is followed closely by a handful of players. The field is still loaded with top poker pros, including but not limited to Sam Trickett (12,200,000), Darren Elias (10,305,000), Christian Harder (10,185,000), Jason Koon (10,120,000), Vojtech Ruzicka (9,505,000), Ari Engel (9,250,000), Samuel Chartier (6,515,000), Mike McDonald (4,910,000), Daniel Coleman (3,685,000), Anthony Zinno (3,070,000), Jake Schwartz (1,645,000) and Tony Dunst (1,195,000), to name a few. Click here to view the seating draw with counts for Day 3.

Follow us for live updates, chip counts and photos throughout the day as we slowly progress to crowning our first millionaire! Alternatively, Pokernews and partypoker LIVE will also be publishing live updates on their respective sites.

Good luck to the remaining players!

Upeshka De Silva defended his big blind after Jordan Vaillancourt raised from under the gun. On a 10 of Spades 9 of Clubs 7 of Clubs flop, he check-raised to 1,040,000 and Jordan followed along. The turn brought the 4 of Clubs, and Upeshka moved all-in, covering his opponent by a fair margin. With around 2,700,000 to his name, Jordan slid his big chips forward to signify a call, and both players tabled their hands.

Upeshka: Jack of Clubs 8 of Diamonds
Jordan: 10 of Hearts 10 of Diamonds

Jordan needed the board to pair if he wanted to survive the hand, but the river brought the Jack of Diamonds, sealing his fate and sending him to the rail.

With that pot, Upeshka joined the chip-leaders late in the partypoker Million North America with a stack of over 17 million.

Day 2 of the partypoker Million North America has less than one hour left before completion, and the field has been whittled down to 200 players. Those remaining at the end of this level will carry their chips onto Day 3 tomorrow, where the plan is to play through another 8 levels of 75-minutes each.

Once bagging is complete, the full list of player-reported chip counts as well as Day 3’s seating assignments will be published.

Players are back from their last break of the night, and are back at their seats for the final 2 levels of play. Upon their completion, the survivors will bag their chips onto tomorrow’s Day 3, where we should reach and pass the money-bubble.

A number of stacks have grown above the 10-million chip mark since the last break, and while the players were stretching their legs we put together an updated leaderboard for the event.
