The Grand Prix Canada is in full swing, with more than half of the total starting flights now behind us. The majority of live flights are still ahead of us however, as Day 1C is moments away from closing, while Day 1D is now underway and in level 1.

7 more live flights remain after today, with two scheduled on Thursday and Friday, and three more on Saturday. Players can also still take a shot by qualifying online, as 4 more flights remain on partypoker.net.

With a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 and a modest buy-in of only $200 + $20, this event has a ton of value for the players. Don’t miss your chance at taking home a share of the prize-pool, late registration is open until 9:15pm.

The combined list of Day 2 qualifiers can be found here.

Day 1B of the Grand Prix Canada has come to a close, and 10 players have bagged and tagged a stack onto Day 2, collecting a $400 cash prize along the way.

Philippe Drouin (pictured) ended the flight with the biggest stack of the flight, and will return with an armory of 452,000 on Sunday for the continuation of this massive $500K guaranteed tournament. Below is a list of players who qualified in Day 1B, along with their player-reported chip counts.

Players wishing to participate in this event still have ample opportunities to do so, with 2 live flights scheduled on Wednesday through Friday, and 3 more on Saturday. There are also a handful of online starting flights remaining – more information regarding the event can be found here.

Day 1B is on a short break following level 18, and the field is down to just 12 players. This means only 2 eliminations separates the final 10 from bagging onto Day 2.

Eric Leblond and Eric Bigras share the lead as they both flirt with the 400K threshold, while Philippe Drouin, Bill Kontaratos and Jean-Francois Jodoin hang around the 300K mark.

Once the flight has come to a conclusion, their chip counts will be added to the combined Day 2 counts for the Grand Prix Canada.

On the last hand of level 12, once most players had already left the table to enjoy their 15-minute break, Jean-Francois Langevin was still in his seat and heads-up in a big pot. With 2 of Clubs 10 of Clubs Jack of Clubs 2 of Hearts showing on the board, Jean-Francois quickly called the all-in of his opponent with the stone-cold nuts as he flipped over 2 of Diamonds 2 of Spades. His opponent tabled a drawing-dead Ace of Clubs Jack of Diamonds and had vanished before the river was dealt out. With that pot, Jean-Francois climbed to the top of the leaderboard with a stack just shy of 300K.

Only a handful of players join him in the 6-figure mark, with Eric Leblond hot on his tail. Here are the top counts entering level 13:
