Action folded around to Qi Hu (button), and he open-shoved his final 14,000,000. David Eldridge (small blind) raised all-in over the top and forced Patrick Blye (big blind) out of the hand.

Qi tabled Ace of Hearts 5 of Hearts and needed some help to overcome the Ace of Spades Jack of Clubs of his opponent. The Ace of Clubs Queen of Clubs 7 of Hearts was rather bleak for Qi, although it did offer some chop outs, but the running 4 of Hearts and 6 of Hearts gave him the nut flush to double him up. David was left with around 12 million behind.

Demo Kiriopoulos

Louis Boutin opened to 2,500,000 from the cutoff, and Demo Kiriopoulos 3bet shoved for 16,600,000 from the small blind. Scott Montgomery 4bet all-in over the top, and Louis got out of the way.

Demo: King of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds
Scott: Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs

Demo picked up just enough to survive on the 7 of Spades 10 of Diamonds 2 of Spades King of Hearts 9 of Hearts board to keep him in the running, while Scott dropped to around 45 million.

Niall Farrell is the current chip-leader with 129,300,000, and is the only player above the 100 million mark. Jonathan Bussieres is second in chips after scoring a huge double-up through Scott Montgomery just before the break, and starts the new level with 96,500,000.

Jonathan Bussieres opened to 2,200,000 from under the gun, and found calls from Niall Farrell and Scott Montgomery. Jonathan fired 4,300,000 on the King of Clubs 6 of Hearts 10 of Clubs flop, and called Scott’s check-raise to 14,000,000. Scott then lead for 24,000,000 on the 3 of Diamonds turn, and called off when Jonathan moved all-in.

Scott tabled 6 of Clubs 4 of Clubs for a pair and a flush draw, and needed some river help to overcome Jonathan’s Ace of Hearts Ace of Clubs. The 2 of Spades was not the card he was looking for, and Jonathan double-up to over 90 million chips.

A short break is coming up, and we will soon publish full counts of the remaining players.

Michael Addamo was crippled by Matt Waxman shortly before the final 3 tables redraw took place, and was eliminated a few hands into his new table by Jordan Saccucci.

Joel Moreau was under the gun with 9,900,000 when he open-shoved with Ace of Hearts King of Clubs. Marc Guerbilsky made the call with Ace of Diamonds Jack of Spades next to act, and the hand closed heads-up between the two. Joel was in a good spot to double his stack, until Marc took the lead on the turn of a 9 of Diamonds 5 of Spades 10 of Hearts Jack of Clubs 7 of Spades board to score the knockout.

Terry Lee was very low stacked during the last few hands and saw his stack virtually blind out. With under 2bb he moved in with and Ace of Hearts 5 of Diamonds but was crushed by Jack of Spades 2 of Spades on a Jack of Clubs 4 of Diamonds 10 of Clubs 4 of Spades Jack of Hearts board.

On the turn of a 7 of Spades Jack of Hearts King of Clubs 9 of Spades board, action blew up between Yuzhou Chu and Niall Farrel creating a pot north of 100 million chips.

Yuzhou showed down Queen of Spades Jack of Spades for a pair, and straight and flush draws, while Niall held Queen of Clubs 10 of Hearts for the nut straight. The 2 of Diamonds was dealt on the river, and Niall became the recipient of the largest pot of the tournament so far. He now holds almost 140 million, and Yuzhou’s elimination in 25th place brought on a final 3 tables redraw.

Players are now back in action in the following seats. A short break is scheduled at the end of this level, during which we will bring a detailed update on the chip counts.
