Another flight is over and done, and with a huge 281-player turnout, 29 players have secured themselves a spot in Day 2, collecting a $400 cash bonus along the way. Tomorrow will be the last day to participate in a starting flight to the Grand Prix Canada, and a total of 4 flights are scheduled. Playground Poker Club will host 3 of them, with live flights kicking off at 12pm, 4pm and 7pm. Players can also join into a 9pm online flight on partypoker.net, which will be the final flight. Day 2 will then take place on Sunday at 1pm, and all of the qualifiers will be reunited under one roof in the tournament hall at Playground to compete for their share of this $500,000 guaranteed prize-pool.
Leading up to Saturday’s flights, the combined total number of entries through 24 starting flights is of 1,591, which is still a ways from meeting the guarantee. Players might therefore be treated to some overlay if less than 909 more entries take place tomorrow, and who doesn’t like added value? Don’t miss out!
Tyler St-Clair bagged the biggest of the 29 stacks that qualified from Day 1H, and he will return to the felts with a towering 934,300 in chips. Only one player has managed to bag more chips that Tyler so far: Victor Artemenko, who ended his online flight with 990,000 chips.
