It’s always difficult to play in a big tournament but not make it to the money – let alone not making it to the big money. But for all those players that weren’t able to progress beyond Day 2 in the Million, at least they have the Second Chance event.
In just minutes, the $2,300 + $200 NL Hold’em Second Chance event – Event #5 in the Playground Poker Spring Classic – will get underway in the Tournament Hall. This is an opportunity for everyone who played in the Million North American to take another shot at a relatively high-buy-in tournament.
The Second Chance event is a little different than the Million, however, in that it’s a pure freezeout event. There is a single Day 1 – today – and players have to have their wits about them from right from the start of the tourney!
Players will start with 25K in chips and blind levels throughout the tournament will be 45 minutes long (or at least until the final 2 players are heads-up – then blinds levels will increase every 30 minutes). This is a 2 Day event and play will continue today for 15 levels.
Players have until the end of level 6 to register in the event, and as usual we expect a good number of players to take the opportunity to late reg.
Good luck!
