Saccucci, Chartrand bust the Million

2017/05/09 - 16:49 by Playground Poker

We missed the exact action, however when we arrived at table 39, Jordan Saccucci (big blind) was all-in for 10,300,000 and at-risk versus Philippe D’Auteuil (button).

Jordan tabled Ace of Hearts 5 of Hearts, and was ahead of Philippe’s King of Hearts 8 of Clubs, until the King of Diamonds 10 of Spades Jack of Hearts 9 of Spades 4 of Hearts board dropped, spelling his elimination in 19th place ($35,000).

Shortly after, Stephan Chartrand 3bet shoved his 9,600,000 stack after an early-position open from Matt Waxman, who made the call.

Stephan started off with the lead, holding King of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds versus Jack of Clubs 10 of Clubs, however Matt picked up a pair to scoop the pot on a 5 of Hearts 6 of Diamonds 10 of Spades 6 of Spades 9 of Hearts board. Stephan also collected $35,000, finishing in 18th place.

A redraw will take place once one more elimination happens here in the partypoker Million North America.

Kevin Rivest

Kevin Rivest raised to 2,700,000 from the cutoff, and Matt Waxman 3bet to 6,800,000 from the button. Kevin then placed a 4bet up to 14,200,000, and quickly called after Matt raised all-in.

Kevin: King of Clubs King of Spades
Matt: Ace of Spades Queen of Diamonds

Board: 9 of Spades Jack of Hearts 7 of Diamonds 7 of Spades 10 of Diamonds

Kevin held 29,700,000 total before the double-up, and now sits on roughly average stack as play switched to level 30 after the hand.

Jean-Pascal Savard button-raised to 2,500,000 in the last hand of level 29, and Marc Guerbilsky 3bet to 6,700,000 from the big blind. Jean-Pascal went over the top with a 4bet all-in, putting his opponent to the test for his tournament life. With a stack of around 43 million, Marc hesitated for a couple of minutes before committing his chips.

Marc: 8 of Clubs 8 of Spades
Jean-Pascal: Jack of Clubs Jack of Diamonds

With no improvement on the Queen of Spades 5 of Spades 5 of Hearts 9 of Hearts 7 of Hearts board, Marc saw the last of his chips slide across the table to Jean-Pascal, who climbed above 140 million with that pot. Marc’s 20th place finish earned him a $35,000 payday.

David Eldridge might have nightmares about Qi Hu tonight, after being eliminated by him in two hands where Qi found runner-runners.

Matt Waxman opened to 2,500,000 from utg +1, and Qi 3bet to 6,500,000 from the cutoff before David 4bet all-in for 10,100,000 from the button. Matt tanked for a moment before folding, and Qi, committed, threw in a few additional chips to make the call.

David: Ace of Hearts Ace of Diamonds
Qi: 10 of Spades 7 of Spades

For the second time this level, Qi won the hand versus David on a runner-runner as he picked up a straight on the King of Spades Jack of Diamonds 3 of Hearts Queen of Diamonds 9 of Clubs board. David picked up $35,000 for his 21st place finish.

Action folded around to Qi Hu (button), and he open-shoved his final 14,000,000. David Eldridge (small blind) raised all-in over the top and forced Patrick Blye (big blind) out of the hand.

Qi tabled Ace of Hearts 5 of Hearts and needed some help to overcome the Ace of Spades Jack of Clubs of his opponent. The Ace of Clubs Queen of Clubs 7 of Hearts was rather bleak for Qi, although it did offer some chop outs, but the running 4 of Hearts and 6 of Hearts gave him the nut flush to double him up. David was left with around 12 million behind.

Demo Kiriopoulos

Louis Boutin opened to 2,500,000 from the cutoff, and Demo Kiriopoulos 3bet shoved for 16,600,000 from the small blind. Scott Montgomery 4bet all-in over the top, and Louis got out of the way.

Demo: King of Diamonds Queen of Diamonds
Scott: Queen of Spades Queen of Clubs

Demo picked up just enough to survive on the 7 of Spades 10 of Diamonds 2 of Spades King of Hearts 9 of Hearts board to keep him in the running, while Scott dropped to around 45 million.
