In a clash of the big stacks, Manfred Gunther eliminated Hans Carcenac (pictured) to bring the PLO Bounty onto the 9-handed final table.
We caught up to the action on the river, and with the board showing 
and already 300K in the pot, Manfred threw in his bounty chip to announce his last 280K is in the middle. Hans tanked for a moment before also throwing in his chips, and then saw the bad news as Manfred tabled the nuts with 
. Both players had flopped two pair and improved by the river, however Hans’ broadway with 
was second best, spelling his elimination.
Manfred leads the final 9 with around 800K, with Steve Ulloa-Torres and Brian Morgan tied for second with around 400K apiece.

Joey “Birdman” Boczek has just been knocked out from the PLO 50/50 Bounty Event, and with his elimination the tournament is now in the money.
He limped into the hand from early position, and once Manfred Gunther opened to 50,000 on the button, he re-raised the pot, sliding forward 168,000 and leaving himself around 120,000 behind. Manfred tanked for a moment before making the call, and the rest of the chips went in on the flop.

Hand-for-hand has been in progress for a full level so far, and we’ve see a number of all-in / calls however the shorter stack has prevailed in every case so far. A handful of players have been blinded down in the process, as Mike Fraser, Sako Marashlian and Ivan Driard have been playing passively, waiting for the money-bubble to sail by. With the blinds increasing to 6K/12K, the pressure will be on these 3 in the hands to come as they only hold a few big blind each.
