Less than 100 players are left in the Bounty tournament, and are spread on 10 tables. A few moments ago, a huge roar resounded in the hall, in reaction to the last hand of the partypoker Million North America Event. Jean-Pascal Savard was just crowned the Main Event Champion, and his posse let him hear their support.

Meanwhile, here are some photographs of the remaining field in our last event of the Playground Poker Spring Classic:

Players in the Bounty tournament just took a short break, allowing the tournament staff to race the T25 chips off the tables. It also allowed us to determine our current chip leader.

Christopher Roger (pictured below) has that honor, with stacks and towers of checks amounting to 153,500. His closest rival is at 84,500, and the average at 34,500, which gives us an idea of how far ahead Roger really is. There is still a long road ahead though, and anyone with a chip and a chair has a chance to pass him.

As is customary in the Event-tail Bounty, our staff was allowed to mingle with our costumers. A number of Playground employees are at the tables, enjoying some much deserved time off after putting in some serious hours in the past week. We wish them good luck!

Our tournament staff is still working on the attendance information and the final number will be published soon, along with the prize pool details, but we know that over 200 players registered in tonight’s closing event.

Here are some photos of those staff members taking a shot at the Bounty:

Players are flooding the tournament hall for a shot at the amazing prize pool that will be put together tonight. We do not have the exact number of entries yet, because we are experiencing some technical difficulties with our network, but by the look of room, we should be closing in on the 200-mark.

We noticed that 2 of yesterday’s winners are among us, trying to double back on their achievement. Mitchael Ferguson, who won the $500 + $100 + $500 NL Hold’em 50/50 Bounty is here, along with Simon Pin-Disle, who took down the $300 + $30 PL 5-Card Omaha Re-entry Event. Both of them played for the better part of last night to claim their Champion’s Trophy, and they are back tonight for more. Can they do it again?

Speaking of multiple wins, we also noticed that Mr. World Cup of Cards is with us. Dave ”Dadak” Jeanneau-Cyr, who won 4 Trophy Events in last year’s WCC, is at the tables.

You have another 20 minutes of so to join them!

Tonight is the closing event of the Playground Poker Spring Classic 2017 – a $200 + $30 + $100 NL Hold’em Bounty tournament. It is tradition at Playground to end a tournament series with a nighttime Bounty Event, and if this one reflects the overall success of the Million North America series, it should be quite a ride.

This is your last chance to get your hands on a Playground Poker Spring Classic Champion’s Trophy. It is stowed at the tournament desk, waiting for its rightful owner to step forward.

On your way to tonight’s final table, you will share the tournament hall with our Million North America Main Event finalists, who are battling hard up on the stage to be crowned Champion. Later tonight, we will award the first million-dollar prize in Playground history, and wish that you be here to share the moment with us.

So grab your hoodie and come down to Playground! The registration period for tonight’s Bounty will remain open until 8:30pm. You will start with a 20K stack, and play 20-minute levels until the Champion’s Trophy is awarded.

The tournament director is announcing the kickoff.

Good luck!
