We missed the preflop action, but in a hand that was 3-way to the flop, after 7 of Spades 10 of Spades 6 of Diamonds were dealt, Mike McDonald opened for 10K and found a call from new entry Benoit Galland. Benoit folded before very long, and Sam Chartier – who easily covered both players – followed his check with a raise that covered both players.

Mike went in the tank and gave Sam a dose of his famous stare-down, but eventually called for the rest of his stack. Benoit quickly got out of the way and the hands were tabled.

The 10 of Diamonds put a few limits on Sam’s outs and the 7 of Diamonds sealed the double up for Nike.

This brings the total number of entries up to 50 – which is the exact number required to cover the $500,000 guarantee.

The second and final day of the partypoker LIVE High Roller tournament will begin in just a few minutes as the 25 players remaining after Day 1 take their seats, perhaps to be joined by the last few late registrants, who may join the event time during the first level of play today.

A total of 25 players have bagged chips from a starting field of 46 entries in the partypoker LIVE High Roller event. Late registration is still open and will remain so until the end of the first level of play tomorrow, giving players until 1:45pm to buy-in. The blinds roll back to level 9 at the start of Day 2, and action will continue until the High Roller Champion is crowned.

The High Roller has completed the 10 levels scheduled to be played for Day 1, and 25 players have bagged chips from a starting field of 46 entries. Late registration is still open and will remain so until the end of the first level of play tomorrow, giving players until 1:45pm to buy-in. The blinds roll back to level 9 at the start of Day 2, and action will continue until the High Roller Champion is crowned.

Michael Addamo returns to the felts with the biggest stack tomorrow after bagging 387,400 at the end of Day 1. Second in chips is Vishal Singh Maini, who is close behind with 365,600. Sorel Mizzi bagged the third biggest stack with 315,300, while Alexander Turyansky (300,600) and Samuel Chartier (266,100) round the top 5 stacks.
