At the beginning of level 16 (the fourth 60-minute level of the evening), Michael Ferrer ate up a piece of Michael Blair’s stack on table 37. When we arrived the hand was already in progress.

Flop: 8 of Hearts 7 of Clubs Queen of Spades

With several thousand already in the pot, Blair made it 12,000 to go. Ferrer called. A 3 of Diamonds came down on the turn. Both players checked, leading to a 10 of Hearts on the river.

Blair checked utg, after which Ferrer raised 24,000. Blair couldn’t help his curiosity, eventually calling. But when Ferrer flipped over his 8 of Clubs 8 of Diamonds, Blair mucked, losing the pot of approximately 80,000 chips. And he wasn’t able to fight for his chips back as luck would have it, as he was switched to another table by one of the floor managers immediately afterwards.

Mohsin Charania opened to 2,500 from middle position, and Ari Engel moved in for a little over the full starting stack of 30,000. After tanking for a minute Mohsin elected to make the call, putting his opponent at risk.

Mohsin: Ace of Diamonds Jack of Diamonds
Ari: 4 of Diamonds 4 of Spades

Mohsin found some diamonds on the 2 of Diamonds 8 of Spades 7 of Diamonds 8 of Diamonds 2 of Clubs board, eliminating Ari from the field.

As we walked by table 25 we noticed that there were quite a few chips in the pot, and most of the cards were on the table. The board was showing King of Spades 2 of Diamonds Queen of Spades 5 of Diamonds 10 of Diamonds.

Upon closer inspection it was evident that the only two players left in the hand, Gabriel Attiave and Frederic Normand, were heads up. Gabriel had just bet 27,500 on the river, only to be re-raised 86,000 by Normand.

After some introspection, Gabriel threw away his cards, forfeiting the possibility of winning the hand. Frederic scooped up the chips, which must have numbered at least 60,000.

    Blackburn wins a small pot

    2018/11/03 | 17:58 by Playground Poker

Action on table 77 Victoria Rogers limped in preflop, wagering 300. Both Brenda Mary Blackburn, and Brittany Phillips called. The flop came down Ace of Hearts 8 of Spades 6 of Spades and all three players checked. When the turn was dealt 7 of Clubs, the trio all tapped the table again. But after the river was revealed 4 of Diamonds, Mary wagered 500. Brittany called and Victoria folded.

Mary was holding 2 of Clubs 5 of Clubs and won the pot with a straight.
